Agree on you, we are judging the drama from different point of view and we will never agree.
I also find those characters annoying but they are necessary for the plot as in other many family drama. I also said that the writer is not the most creative one, but in his "laziness" he managed to do things that other writers cannot do.
The plot is not draggy, all the secrets doesn't last more than 3-4 episodes, something that other writers cannot do where the common is dragging the secret till the end, such as Bad Thief, Good Thief. Beside the first part that focus only on the main couple, now all characters have their own screen time, another things where other writers fail. The main plot is about Kang and his daughter, that part of the plot is well written and the acting is also above average for a family drama, specially Choi Soo Jong.
As I said, I am behind with episodes so I do not know how is going right now, but for me 66 episodes gone by like a charm. I enjoyed it and didn't pay too much attention on those bloody pressure characters LOL

I am behind with episodes so I don't know if the drama worsen or not. But to me seems like you are judging the whole plot as bad just because of two immature characters. I usually don't pay to much attention on "stupid" characters when it came to family drama, because with a huge cast there will be always the annoying character. In my opinion the overall quality is good, I have seen worse and of course I have seen better. Personal taste are personal, Father is strange was good but IMO it wasn't that great, I liked what happened to my family and five enough more. As I said before I get if you don't like all the characters, the acting or the plot itself, but say that the drama is entirely bad just because two character came out wrong, it's not fair. Always IMHO.
I liked the first part of the plot more than the second part, I liked the action and the border's war story, the acting was also good. I liked the main couple, their moments together and their chemistry. But overall the romance plot wasn't that great, the back and forth between the main couple was annoying, specially considering that the reasons behind it were weak. Each secondary character was written to get in between the main couple and in my opinion they wasted a lot of talent and potential. The ex-boyfriend and the general daughter were useless to the plot, instead of pestering the main couple they could have their own sub plot. Same goes for Chayn and the other female doctor. They could have their own story from the beginning. But I get that with only 9 episodes it is hard to developed a complex plot, I said 9 instead of 10 because last episode was useless as well. Just a recap with wrap up. I was also disappointed to see that the special team didn't take part to the whole plot but only in the introduction, I thought they would work as a team always. Overall rating 6,5
The plot is far away from perfection, but it has all the elements that I like in a drama, love-hate relationship, love triangle and a lot of action. The whole gangsters story was interesting, good acting and complex characters.
One of the most fascinating k-drama of the last few years! The back and fort between the course of events was awesome, even better than Circle! As a true videogamer fan I really enjoy such an innovative plot and according to my personal taste this is a 10/10 rating.
If you love virtual reality and are interested in technology in general, and how it affects human life, this drama is the perfect parody or perhaps it would be better to say the perfect tribute to virtual gaming. All of this is seasoned with a classic k-drama plot about corporations that destroy everything to grab what they want, even to the detriment of important ties such as friendship, love and family.
BUT since I like being objective, I didn't give it more than 8.5, even if the whole cast was great, Hyun Bin is the only true protagonist of this story, other characters are just sketch and even Park Shin Hye looks more like a secondary character due to little screen time. Her role wasn't stronger at all! (it is true, she cry the whole time! ). In my opinion they should have involved her more in the game, this would have also favored the romantic plot which wasn't that big.
The ending wasn't satisfactory, I now need a second season that probably will never come.
If I have a cents for every time someone told me this story I would be rich. I know everything, do sport, eat fruits and vegetables, drink water..... I know it all, I know I am in the wrong, but still ....here I am on MDL instead of doing healthier activity! Now I am sad!
