Is the bread guy the son of the loan shark? Does he know the whole truth? Or they just put him in the show to create a love triangle during the main couple separation?
If you like the american "die hard" series you will probably like this one too. A cop with a bad temper gets involved in a case bigger than him and face any kind of extreme action to slove it (it's like watching the asian version of John McClane LOL). The overall quality is of course lower than an american high budget movie, but the plot was very complex and the acting was good. Apart the title I couldn't connect the movie with the drama at all.
It doesn't matter which version, the plot of full house is just plain bad. Too many stupid coincidences just to bring the couple together and a bad written ML character, which always runs like a dog after his first love. There are definitely better and original plot about contract mariage and forced cohabitation. If you forget this premise and focus only on the romance, I have to admit that the Thai version is a bit better when it came to main couple love-line development. The two antagonists have less screen time, this makes the ML more appreciable and you actually have the time to see the main couple sharing cute and bickering moments until falling in love. Overall, even if I enjoy the couple, Full House was and still is a big disappointment.
Female lead start once again to be too naive for my taste. BUT I can’t stop loving her and I spent most of the time smiling while watching them. So I decided to apply a good theory to justify my guilty pleasure. She was cast as a teenager, so she must have live under a fancy bubble her whole life, she probably didn’t even have a boyfriend! That’s way she is acting like a silly teenager with her first love. Here, I am justifying her! =P
The rest of the show (law part) for now is just meh.
You are dragging me into lakorns!! Great article! Glad you made it! Now I am force to check this full house Thai. I didn’t like both korean version thought!
As you may already know I also find the last trimester of 2018 really bad for kdrama, actually all 2018 wasn’t that great, besides a few shows. To detox a bit I started random stuff that other users posted on the feeds and I am pretty sure a few lakorns were posted by you!
Even if I consider lakorns to much soap opera and old style, I really like love-hate relationship, and since they are full of it, lakorns became my guilty pleasure. I watch one once in a while, because even if I am getting used to their language, my first love is and always will be korean.
I don’t understeand all this comments about not being innovative or different. It’s a movie about virus spreading.... we all know the pattern is always the same in this kind of movie!
Even if the plot is nothing new, I always find very interesting the concept of a potential collapse of modern society due to virus spreading, (the game “the division” was one of my favorite for this reason), and it was interesting see a korean version of this scenario.
Beside the obviously plot, we can analyze other things, the cast and acting were really good. How the virus literally lands in South Korea was also a good idea, never seen this in other movies. What I liked most is how the virus spread so fast before our so called “modern” society can react, this movie took his time to show this before the collapse. Then we all know how it goes, too many sick people, incidents star occurring, panic, quarantine, and the true humanity came out..... with a few hero here and there and a subject zero to find!
Overall it was a good movie about this topic, I wasn’t expecting nothing more or less than other similar movie by other countries.
A great crime action about catching drug dealers! A wonderful cast with three peculiar roles and a solid plot. The only disappointment was the final scene.
Interesting premiere, a lot of funny moments but also with an important case to resolve. I liked the whole cast and the acting. What didn't conviced me were the "comics/manga" effects added to the show, such as super punch and nose bleeding in slow motion....... manga style is not my taste.
Same. Maybe the homeless man is the actual culprit. I haven't watched the beginning episodes, skipped around a…
Well yes, there is a chance that they show us the whole thing only from one prospective to make us believe Kang Soo was the culprit. The loan shark is not dead because he is the homeless guy. And Da Ya’s father death maybe could be tag as an accident instead of murder. The jail sentence would be very different in this case.
Awful and extremely boring! I thought it would be a sad and sensual love-story, but the whole plot is about two random people that casually met on a bus..... they both live a miserable life and end up spending one day together, then the movie ends, no time for any kind of plot development. You don't have the time to know the characters and get attached to them, no chemistry at all and the last kiss was disappointing, I didn't feel it. It's like watching a dark melodrama but without a constructive plot. The only perk was hyun bin as a gigolò.
Coming back here after years cause I suddendly miss Jo Seung Woo's performance in this drama and I am very surprise to read such negative comment about a drama that I consider a must watch in kdramaland.
All geners were well mixed together and the acting was superb! I still remember that thrilling sensation of not being able to figure out who the hell was the culprit, each episode was a cliffhanger, you try to connect the puzzle but you can't. I remember it was frustrating but there was a reason behind the whole plot that of course it's only revealed at the end. It's like the movie The Sixth Sense, once you know the end everything became clear to you, but of course it's mandatory that you don't know it before the end and you watch it till the end.
Back at the time this was a masterpiece. My advice is to never compere recent drama with old ones, just watch it and don't pretend to fit every piece of puzzle because the plot is written specifically not to make you understand until the end. Like black or circle by the way. This one just miss the romance, which is not always a bad things !
Even if the main leads cross path often, nothing explains their attachment towards each other, therefore the romance is totally off. Suddendly the plot throw there one of the most annoying clichè of dramalands and you find yourself watching the worst 4 episodes filler ever seen in all the history of drama. Dropped cause the overall plot doesn't make any sense at all, it looks like they want him to fall in love once again and build a plot around it.
