I love swap body so I really enjoy this movie, it was good and funny, the plot was quite different from other swap body, cause we have a gangster inside a teenage boy, who get involved in a lot of fights to fix not only his own life problems but also the ones of the boy is trapped into. The only flaw is that, like any other k-production about swap body, they focus only on one character putting the other actor in “stand by” for most of the time. As much as Jung Jin Young was good in his role, it was a shame to see Park Sung Woong appears only on the last 30 min. Overall it was a good comedy.
I thought there would be a bit of action, instead is a pure spy story based on true facts. And I usually dislike both genres. I watched it mostly cause my husband love this kind of plot, so this are the only k-movies I can make him watch with me. I can’t say it’s a bad movie cause it would be a lie, it was just not my taste, too much talking and explaining about state secrets, political and economics stuff, the first part was hard to digest, whereas when the spy finally cross the border things start getting more interesting, and you can grow attachment to the characters and what they are facing as human being. The cast was also good and the main concept was interesting, the classic spy trivial about humans being who are enemies cause they serve a different flag etc... but it is developed in a slow and heavy way. Overall I wouldn’t recommend it unless you are a true fan of spy and political’s story.
(The tag “action” should be removed. I vote the tag as not useful.)
When I heard about this drama I was totally uninterested, partially cause I didn’t know the cast and didn’t have fait in them being so “newbie”, partially cause I usually never liked kdrama that have so many genres. Oh if I was so wrong! This turn out to be a really good supernatural mystery crime, nor too dark neither too lighter! The psychometric ability is not overused, giving the entire cast the chance to work on the main case. Each character has his own interesting backstory and everyone did a great job in portraying it, specially the two male lead, totally unexpected such a good performance.
This is not a masterpiece but it’s not even a skippable one, overall it deserved to be watch. Now let’s hope they don’t mess up the final.
can we just appreciate that he realized his mistake by himself and IMMEDIATELY ran everywhere to apologize and…
Totally agree, this drama is killing all the old romance cliché about how adult fall in love. Let’s hope this will go on even when they will be dating.
I am really enjoying this drama, way more mature than other romcoms. The main couple so far is one of the best, you can feel the fire between them and the whole falling in love dynamic! At the same time the plot doesn’t focus only on the couple but also on their personal life’s problem, her being a fan girl and his troubled past.
I had great expectation for this drama because Kim Hae Sook is such a great actress, but her role is weak, she just do the nanny for her useless son in law, yell at her younger and immature daughter and sometimes worries about Mi Ra. The show focus to much on everyone's story instead of her as a mother and her relationship with the three daughter. Right now Mi Ri’s story is the only reason I am watching this. If it doesn’t improve with some characters development I don’t know if I will keep watching. I was interested in them as a family but right now it’s like watching three separate plot. What a shame.
Am I the only one who thinks detective eun and seong mo are more interesting than the the main couple?
Me too, I think there would be great potential if the plot focused also on their long life relationship. Specially to see her beak through him considering his problem.
Ah! I love this article, I always think about how much kdrama changed over the time, there are still cliché and same partners but at the same time they look more and more similar to occidental show, like they are finally evolving, I am not talking only about plots but also about the overall quality of the production. Said that, My brain love strong FL but my heart often miss old style romcom! LoL
You forgot the ones who think drama and dramatic are synonyms and think you only watch tragic soap opera who made you cry. And obviously they tell you that with a disgusted face like they know better than watch soap opera. Than you explain that drama are just Asian tv show and enjoy their shocking ignorance face.
The problem isn’t talking about drama with people who don’t like them, the problem is that here most people dosen’t even know drama exist in the first place and also they are allergic to subtitles. For “here” I mean where I live.
I was interesting in the Olympics theme but even with your great article I think it would be a bit “hard” to watch, considering I am fasting of jdrama, for my come back to this country I was thinking about something more lighter and short.
Even if I loved a few things here and there, overall the plot was boring, stuck in a loop, with no characters development, somehow draggy with a lot of unnecessary flashbacks, it also totally lack of romance focusing only on endless bickering. I feel a bit deceived cause it really looks like they write one story and cut into two season. It doesnt have his own conclusion, this is like part one and now I am forced to watch the part two.
Mi Ri’s situation is similar to what happened in my family from my mother side. I am so piss, you have no idea, I am spouting fire, I will hate THAT character till the end. There is no forgiveness for this kind of person.
Awesome! I laughed the whole drama. Funny, cute, light and short! The plot can't disappointed you like other romcomes because you know from the start it will be a simple romance and you will not expect more. The cast did a great job, the comedy and bromance were good. The soundtrack is awesome, so funny.
Is this as cliché as "What's wrong with secretary Kim" or is it actually worth the watching? :D
This premiere was better imho, but it is too early to tell. Right now they are like dog and cat who keep fighting due to a lot of coincidences, so yes, typical cliché romcom. But I am curious on how they will dealt with her double life “work and fangirl”.
