You're welcome! I fully agree with you on how the editing of the ending was disappointing. Sure hope the twelve episodes that were not released last year will redeem the drama.
Many novel fans believe it will follow the tragic ending if you refer to the lyrics of the OST.

I understand and respect your reasons for not wanting to watch it. I also tend to avoid watching dramas that don’t end well but the remaining 12 episodes contain so much of the best efforts of the actors and the climax of the drama that the drama is not complete without them so I am definitely going to watch them.
I’ve never wanted a character to die faster than this crown prince... I’m sorry but the uncle deserved better.
While I feel sorry for his uncle, there are bigger things at stake here and CP cannot just think of himself or his personal feelings for his relatives. The lives of his people are fragile. They depend on him to look after their interests. If he doesn’t look after them, who is going to? Just look at what’s currently happening in Hubei and imagine being one of those trapped there.
I saw it as a happy ending. Frankly I can't understand those who think it's multi-interpretation.
There are many clues that point to it being a BE altered to a HE. The undertone in some scenes (eg parting scene between CP and Wang Wong) do not make sense if it is a HE.
