The Stranger(Hu Yuanzhong) is obviously suspicious since he arrived right after Xiaojue left. He can fool TaoTao but not He Yan, he's from Liehe. It's hilarious that whenever He Yan is trying to test him STT thinks that He Yan is behaving this way because he's (she) jealous that STT is treating Hu Yuanzhong 😂. He Yan shot an arrow towards him, and he timely dodged it. Woooow! That particular scene AMAZING!! Night time, HY noticed a man with stealth outfit and chased him, their fighting scene was sooooo good! Her fighting with that bamboo pole and even took his weapon (scimitar) but a trap laid down especially for her, since after Xiaojue, He Yan is the strongest in the camp, so it was necessary to remove her from their path, luring here toward that tent, and framing her for the murder of Instructor Ma. She told Shen Han that the killer is Hu Yuanzhong (She did well, to make the enemy lower their guard), her reasons for stating his name was Logical but since Hu Yuanzhong was proven innocent, she was suspicious in their eyes, something had to be done Shen Han gave orders to imprison He Yan in the dungeon until the Commander arrives. He Yan realised that Yezhou Garrison has only recruits at this time who don't have any war experience, and as they framed He Yan leading to her being imprisoned they'll be able to execute their plan (Liehe/Wutuo), giving them the opportunity to act first. He Yan realised that if this was their plan all along, to send Xiao Jue away to Litai from Yezhou Garrison and attack the Garrison in his absence then it'll be Chaos. STT came to visit her in the dungeon and was all shy when He Yan asked for her belt 🤣. She ordered her and CL to stay close to Shen Han at all times so he can protect them. He Yan has atleast alerted Shen Han to be cautious. FINALLY! THE UTO ARC IS HERE! I was dying to see it! Just as her friends (fellow recruits) were going to plead mercy for HY, the enemy army arrived! Oh so this Curly Hair head is here at last, General Rida Muzi of the Liehe Tribe. The Utos and Liehe tribe colluded to bring down Xiaojue. Atleast Shen Han finally realised that He Yan didn't lie, she was telling the truth all along and got imprisoned for it. Lei Hou entered the dungeon taking advantage of the Chaos to kill HY, Ahhhhhhhhhhh! She used the belt so well! He Yan has been waiting for Lei Hou in the dungeon knowing his identity as spy. When He Yan was General Feihong, she once subdued the Liehe Army but now after years they've come again (to their grandpa for a beating), ah violence. He Yan's entry was so perfect! Throwing that Flag in the mid. She knows that it'll take some time for Xiao Jue to arrive, so she'll need to buy as much time as possible, riling him up for a duel, by mentioning his brother's name Rida Muji who was killed by herself. He took the bait. (They changed it? In novel there were three duels, but here she fought directly with Rida Muzi?). The fight was amazing, she used her whip, the footwork is really good here. He Yan left a scar on his face while he injured He Yan above the waist (deep wound), but she tied a strip of cloth tightly on her wound and continued fighting 🗡️. I can't believe that they cut the duel scenes just to save time, I know it was just to show her leveling up/showing her strength in novel, but still I was expecting that fight. He Yan was severely injured while trying to protect TaoTao, SHE WAS SO DAMN COOL! When She Shouted "ALL SOLDIERS, CAPTURE THOSE MEN". Her MAN is here finally, 👤WHY IS IT THAT EVERYTIME WE MEET YOU END UP IN SUCH A PITIFUL STATE? Applying medicine for her🤭. But still they ended this too quickly 😭.

The Ghost who crawled out of the Netherworld

The episode begins with Ding Yi trying to test if He Yan's blind. The timing of He Yan's fan movement and opening of eyes was really good. She really let Ding Yi think that he tripped her, while she intentionally did it. The more I think about it, the more I want to lunch Sun Xiangfu's face, how can he be so shameless. Ding Yi replaced the scented ball with poison intending to kill He Yan along with Xiao Jue. But He Yan grabbed Xiao jue and told him that someone has placed a poisonous ball on her and fell into the pond with him. Ding Yi finally understood that He Yan is faking Blindness, cause it's too much of a coincidence that he (HY) fell into the water right after replacing his scented ball. For non-novel viewers (She went to the toilet, and deliberately fell into the latrine pit, and got herself so smelly and dirty, no one was willing to touch her, and all the clothes and accessories on her were thrown away after that, that's how she got rid of the poisoned ball). She's really taking advantage of him while faking Blindness and he just have to go along with the uncle nephew act. That was such a good scene when He Yan just suddenly did the thumbs up just near his chin, and he immediately raised his chin to avoid her hand. Just need a Xiaojue in life. He Yan stepped out of the room dressed in all black ,while XiaoJue left the room dressed in all black right after. Ahhhhhhhh when they were alerted that there was someone on the roof, He Yan immediately ran away, but she and XJ crossed paths and exchanged moves resulting in a draw they, they recognised eachother and immediately went in the opposite directions, XJ was already in his room and when he was undressing himself for bath, she entered the room, now left wide eyed 🤭, although was still pretending to be blind *that's naughty*, he said atleast take off your stealth outfit before pretending 😂. Ahhhhhhhhhh! To avoid Ding Yi, she submerged into the bathtub (the very tub Xiao Jue is in), too cramped🤭, XJ was kinda left wide eyed when she entered the bathtub just like that. Ahhhhhhh! She just put her hand over his mouth to match the stealth outfit guy she crossed paths with, XJ's eyes widened 🤭. Xiao Jue is curious why Ding Yi was after He Yan and why is she involved in all this Ding Yi and He Rufei thing, but she really knows how to avoid his questions. It's obvious to XJ that Ding Yi was sent here to kill him. He Yan led Ding Yi to the Temple, he knows it's not Cheng Lisu, but he still couldn't guess who it was, but He Yan was dead set on taking his life, (I like the details like in the novel when they were battling in the temple, the clouds were rumbling, and lightning in the sky). The place used by the Sun Family to suppress vengeful souls, will become his burial place, perfect. I've been waiting so long for this dialogue (I'm the ghost you killed, crawling out of the Netherworld just to take your life). A FIERCE BATTLE! A REALLY FIERCE BATTLE! IT WAS SOOOOOOOO GOOD. He Yan vs Ding Yi, their battle was amazing. Slashing him with her sword twice continuously and specially slashing his eyes, he went blind, deserved it. Her serious, voice tone was perfect when she was talking to blind Ding Yi, about He Rufei and his purpose as to why he wants to kill XJ, that was so perfect when she just said "I'm a ghost of the one you murdered, I clawed my way out of the Netherworld, and came here to take your life" that waa so satisfying! Xiao Jue heard most of the conversation, but only Ding Yi and He Yan knew what happened between them so even if their words were indirect, they both knew what the other was saying, but Xiaojue who didn't know about her identity couldn't make nuch of what he heard, ecen though he asked He Yan about "Who are you exactly?" "What did you mean by I'm the Ghost of the one you murdered? ", he made it clear to He Yan that he knows She's a woman. The story she told him about teh seer was lame, but afterwards with passion in her eyes she told him about her aspiration of becoming a General to protect her country, that made Xiao Jue stare at her. Ahhhhhhhhhh! Helping her clean her wound near shoulder!! But he really is persistent asking her about why did she kill Ding Yi. She's so good at giving speeches, XJ even pointed that your speech was flawless and convincing but do you think that I'll believe that?? 😂 He wants her to leave if she can't tell him the truth. Ahhhhhhhhh! Finally the mole part, blackmailing him with the detail that only an intimate partner would know such detail 🤭, the red mole an inch above his waist. Feinu just doesn't like to see his master with He Yan (always thinking He Yan's upto some inappropriate thing 😂). They found the missing girls bodies buried in the temple, and He Yan's grip on her Umbrella tightened, signifying how she felt.

Xiaojue is tailing He Yan, following her to see where she is going to, seeing the man sent by He Rufei. She noticed XJ already ahhhh🤭, I'm a novel reader, and I've been trying my best to not compare it to the novel (cause they always modify some things). XJ still following her, while she's set on discovering about what Ding Yi will do here. He Yan went into the Wanhua Pavillion, cause from her pov XJ is not the typa person who'd enter this type of place🌚. Chu Zhao is in the pavillion, and his maid recognised He Yan, the fortune teller gentlemen they met while returning from Que City, literally our girl will do anything 😂. She really had SWINDLER written over her forehead when she sat in front of Chu Zhao🤣. Ahhhhhhhhhh finally the scene from trailer, the dancing scene in pleasure house🤭. Zhou Ye nailed it, she looks so amazing in this costume adding these accessories. He Yan was forced to get on the stage, while Ding Yi looked back at He Yan before going. The tension between them (He Yan and Ding Yi, the eye contact) really. She really is curious why Ding Yi is disguised as Sun Xiangfu's servant here. Ahhhhhhh presenting a sword dance 🗡️. I watched the same performance thrice continuously. Chu Zhao recognised that He Yan a woman is disguised as a man. Ahhhh XiaoJue came, and the moment he came in, He Yan was shocked like "he really came?" And even slipped and lost her balance 🤣. Now the thing she is doing on stage is just "Fumbling around" 😂. Saviour Chu Zhao is here, playing the flute for her, cause she lost the Rhythm 🤭. Xiaojue was smiling while looking at her 🤭. Ahhhhhhhhhhh throwing the rose at her 🌝, and her catching it with her sword!!! "A FLOWER FOR A BEAUTY" Xiaojue you won! 🌝. XJ was enjoying teasing her, and what's more funny is that she thinks XJ doesn't know she's a woman😂. XJ's suspicious because CZ keeps looking at HY so he's suspicious if they know eachother. Holy! that was a good shot HY, knocking out both the Men. Saving Song TaoTao, finally entered the frame. Song TaoTao almost became HeYan's fiancee when she was disguised as He Rufei, so call it fate (written by author). She's so adorable. The men came for STT, that was so touching (He Yan just told STT that I'm helping you cause you're a woman). Young master Sun captured both of em. While STT was shocked to hear the name Cheng Lisu (the very marriage she was escaping from). Just look at the wide smile of He Yan when she saw that XJ came asking "try your luck". That was hot when XJ just caught the whip in hand, so hot specially his expression 🔥. HY is really enjoying teasing Sun Xiangfu, just look at the expressions 😂. Sun Xiangfu really need to discipline his son, that kick while kicking him out was funny. I'm constantly staring at how He Yan is leaning forward on Xiao jue while holding his arm lol. Xiao Jiao eyes widened when he heard that it's not just any girl, it's Song Tao Tao, who He Yan saved. STT is so set on He Yan (thinking she's a man). Finally they'll be going to the Sun Mansion.

The Duel on Mount Baiyue

It's episode 5 and I'm still watching the full intro cause it's just so good, I really like the ost. I like the short clips at the beginning of the past, it's adorable. Floating lanterns for the dead, ah her Man looks so lonely, that she just went to him, and it's really liek she's yapper while he doesn't talk much. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh he smiled! Seeing her folding lanterns (weird shape) he smiled. I thought he was going to touch her cheek, alas not for now. Finally the Flag Competition is here, Red Flags are placed throughout Mount Baiyue, total 15, the team who gets the most will win. I remember this Flag Arc, she'll head to take the flag placed in the most difficult place, cause this mountain has dangerous cliffs. While Xiaojue has deliberately did it, because he knows new recruits can't take the flag from such difficult cliff, but Veterans can, that is why he arranged the patrolling first, so that the traitor will know the purpose of the patrol and will definitely prepare a map of the mountain, and he already knows He Yan is a Veteran soldier. She got the flag from the cliff, really trying everything to test her. Just with only one patrol she has learned Mount Baiyue by heart. Even though the other team led by Lei Hou has all skilled martial artist, but if they can't work like a team it won't work, besides General Feihong, He Yan is really good at deploying troops, so even if her team doesn't have the strongest members, she can make do with it, with her deployment strategies. To take the Flags Individual heroism isn't sufficient, a team needs to work together, therefore Deployment matters, a Leader has to be capable. He Yan's team members all have different strengths and if she can harness their talents through deployment, they should make quite a team. Her team set up ambushes and snatching flags from other teams, better than wasting their time by looking for other flags. Both teams hold 7 flags each, the one who gets the last one will win, the terrain is treacherous, Dueling with Lei Hou for the last flag, ahhhhhh I wanted to see her Whip for such a long time. I have been so excited to see her Whip skills, finally the fight with the Whip is here!! I loved that scene where she hit Lei Hou in the arm and when Lei Hou's teammate tried to sneak attack, all her teammates came forward threatening other team with their weapons "He Yan trusts us with his back, naturally we will eliminate all threats". He Yan noticed the anomaly, that Lei Hou's moves are odd, checkmate, binded too and if even a little more pressure his neck would've been sliced with his own sword. Atleast he knows now that He Yan can't be the spy, cause if she was then why would she eagerly attract his attention on herself. He can't figure out her intention to join the army. He Rufei is heartless, planning to ruin things. The actor is really playing well the charcter of He Rufei "thumbs up". Happy to see Chu Zhao, he'll be heading to Yezhou soon. He Yan was supposed to join the Nine Banner Battalion but Lei Hou was chosen instead, feeling devastated that she tried to get closer to her aim but someone else was chosen.

Finally the Banner Competition!! Nice! The Recruits have completed their 1st month of training so it's time. He Yan found the anonymous person who bet on her. It was hilarious when XiaoJue was looking at He Yan from side like no those flatbreads are not mine. He Yan was teasing him when she found out that her Commander was the anonymous person. I've been waiting for this Flag Competition for so long! First they'll patrol the mountains after that the competition will be held. Nope He Yan's team had gone up the mountain for patrolling, but the WB and ZX are clearly not thinking of her as their leader, and will disobey her. The Wolf fight scene is here! They made trouble, now He Yan's gotta act fast. She helped him up the horse now left alone to deal with the wolves, bitten by a wolf, two nasty wounds, falling into the deep pit. Xiao Jue himself came to find her, and she was caught dreaming a vacation with her sweetheart lol. She's too funny, taunting him like this, will you make me walk back to the camp? I'm injured lol. And he's just rolling his eyes. When she leaned on him while on horse back He found out she's a woman, and he was shocked as to why a woman came all the way to Yezhou to join the army. Returned to the base, XJ's eavesdroping on He Yan's and Cheng Lisu's conversation how she said he took the right decision he has to maintain discipline this is an army, if they didn't execute Zhang Xuan and tomorrow if they had gone to war, who'd trust him to guard their back? She's lying about having a fiancee lol, to escape CL's examination. Ahhhhhhhhhh! Running into the arms of Xiaojue!! Can't wait for tomorrow.

The core of the Xiao Army. I like how fast paced all this is, him setting a bait right after observing her moves in last night fight, and her understanding that he's setting a bait to hook her. She has decided to play along and will join Jiuqi camp honourably, She's so confident while taking to Instructor Shen, like you won't find a better warrior than me in your recruits. Ahhhhh finally the competition between Wang Ba and He Yan, when he's bullying her but she's the type to break the bully's nose. The Archery competition finally ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! In 10 days I'll defeat you in Archery, your best skill! We know she will. Oh my she's challenging Jiang too for a Spear challenge in 10 Days which is his best skill, finally will be able to watch it and not read it! Training at night so she'll be able to win in 10 days, I love her the most. At this point I'm fangirling over here and not reviewing, anyways continue blushing watching her. When she's training, XJ's here himself to see her progress, sparring, the best thing in action scenes. A spear duel between them. She's using all the flattery and reasons for XiaoJue to train her, ah a condition if you can resist 10 strikes in a circle, I'll train you. Is this sparring or spring? More like Romancing but fiercely. Just inches away, ahhhhhhhhhhh! She's standing on his feet totally balanced. He Yan let go of him, his subordinates will think that he likes men. She's going to use him to succeed. Quite a quick learner. When she entered his tent, there was the Qinglang sword, feeling emotional meeting after such a long time, the master craftsman forged two swords one was Yinqiu and the other was Qinglang, handed to both of them. Ah XJ's there with the sword pointed at her neck, they're betting their flatbreads on either Jiang Jiao, Wang Ba or He Yan lol. Finally the most awaited duel, the Archery competition! Even the instructors are there for the duel. Scene of the duel is amazing, ahhhhhhhh she went back and then shot the target, shot from far than Wang Ba. Time for Spear Sparring, she won fabulously. In Xiaojue's eyes HeYan the recruit, is a formidable opponent.

Little flashbacks from ths past, Xianchang Academy, former classmates. Back to the present, Cheng Lisu, medical bureau's top disciple, XJ's nephew avoiding marriage, so here at the training camp being all flashy disturbing his peace. Finally! Being able to see HY in action! Climbing and Taming the horse!! I live for her scenes. XJ recognised the way of taming the horse was unique to the Fuyue Army (He Rufei's), and suddenly a man appearing in their training base, they'll find it sus. Chu Zhao's first appearance, Disciple of Xu Jingfu (prime minister), along with Xu Pingting, prime minister's daughter. Ahhhhhhhhhhh! First appearance of Wang Ba (the infamous bandit), along with Zheng Xuan, Jiang Jiao (the famous one for Spear), Mai (the short one), Huang Xiong (the former hunter). Waiting for the Gang to assemble. HY trusts in XJ, that he wouldn't just flood a city to gain quick military merit. The Instructors are in sight too now, Shen Han, the Head. What an amazing wake up call for the rogue and Bandit, splashing water on them to wake them up. Xiaojue himself came to their tent for the wakeup call. I'll enjoy this military training arc do much. He Yan didn't know how Xiao Jue trained his men, but now experiencing the intense training on the first day herself, he sure is a Strict General, she wasn't this intense on her subordinates in terms of training. After running 10 laps with heavy weight, time to test their abilities to hold the weapons, He Yan chose the Twin blades, less than an arm's length, ahhhhhhhhhhh! The move, she left Wang Ba completely speechless, atleast she proved her skills in front of everyone present. And after showcasing her skills, that was funny she just slugged her shoulders and was like ah I'm exhausted! Everyone was speechless like what, can't you fight? While she said that she won't be able to pull this now, against Wang Ba in competition, He Yan really can't hold much weight when she just recovered from poison, and now with all this military training she's trying hard, but it'll take time. She will take back everything that she earned with Blood, sweat and tears. She was already soaking in the hot spring, XJ arrived!! Ah can see him shirtless, fangirling why not?

While HR still not satisfied, wants her dead to leave no trace behind of the identity swap. The meeting near the pond ahhhhhhhhhhh! XJ giving her a hope to live, when the killer wanted to kill her by moving objects cause she is blind, she can only move around after observing the objects around her. Now letting her escape on her own so she'll die accidentally (obvious murder), the fighting scene was good, her being blind and closing her eyes to sharpen her ears. I know it's just the beginning but still I teared up when she was stabbed and pushed off the cliff. Being saved by her Master Liu Buwang. I knew it she will do good, playing a fierce character, abandoned by her family, forced to the edge. But He Yan will rise again, returning to the army and will slowly reclaim everything that was hers. Heading to Yezhou Garrison, to commence her journey.

Ah it's so interesting. Villainess Fan showed Qingyue about Divine Lord Siling and she was speechless but she stayed calm. Fan led to her the abyss to trap her. Qingyue encountered Honglian and literally it was a trap they broke the seal through QY. Oh mr Fan was really cool with his entry and setting up formation. Fan tried to kill her twice so she sent her to the Ruins. Qingyue is hurt because she thinks Bai Jiusi chose her because of her face that is identical to Siling. Omg The Land of Ruins, a Majestic place indeed. OMO This DIVINE SNACK!!! black hair, he looks good in anything. He's showing off that he's wearing the clothes she made for him, I'm blushing ^^ . Divine snack just scoffed at her, so will finally get to see a little bickering?

OMGGG!! the heavenly palace is gorgeous. And her man keeps appearing out of nowhere and she be stunned. Lemme be honest this senior Lyu only brings trouble, when she wants something from Qingyue she would immediately go to her, Qingyue asks for something she can't hear anything. Atleast she taken some sense into her. Zhang's friend or junior guy, keeps his eye on Zhang a lot. Man I thought is he obsessed with Zhang. Right question mam "Why are you so guarded against me?" Cause he used to be powerful. Zhang got a bright smile :) only when he sees Qingyue. If her Master was a little more responsible, she would've looked more like Mu Qingge from Love of the divine tree.

He's so childish, the fourth task to bring my bedding back to the main chamber, I'm going to battle Lady Qiao over every inch of land. I'm being honest here, these four generals together are so chaotic and even now while shifting the room they're so chaotic. Wei Shao's having nightmares on this stormy night, and Manman comforting him is so wholesome.
