Honestly!! But I'm hoping that Darren gets a main role where the drama has a good plot and doesn't overuse cliches! Cause he definitely has potential with his acting! <3
Can someone recommend me dramas same as dis. Dis drama makes me feel so happy highly recommend dis drama is light…
You should check out "Reply 1988"! It also involves five childhood friends who grew up in the same neighborhood together! Same coming of age, comedy, and romance that "Lovely us" has! <3
I can honestly relate to your review! I mostly watched it for Darren, who pretty much stole the show, despite the cheesy cliches used in this drama XD I also saw him in meteor garden but wasn't a fan until I saw this in this drama. He nailed his role here!
I'm a little lost at the end. If I remember correctly, in episode 1, I thought the whole drama was a made-up story that the FL wrote. I thought we would get some explanation to that at the end, or did the writers just forgot about that?
I was personally okay with it lol. For one, I liked Wen Bing's confession here a lot more than ep 20 because it…
Yeah, I agree with you that this conflict was expected anyway lol. I just didn't like how Wen bing's mom didn't want to hear Sang tian's explanation of why she had to cross-dress as a guy. But I guess his mom must have lost a lot of trust after finding out Sang tian was lying to her. There have been many other male leads in dramas whose pride gets in their way, but not Wen Bing! I appreciate how Wen bing handled the situation pretty maturely and didn't give up despite the lack of communication on Sang tian's part!
I guess I was hoping to see the conflict be resolved differently in a short manner of time since I've seen too many dramas where the main leads always run into these scenarios lol. Thankfully it only lasted for an episode! Yes! I notice that too, when a drama loses its story because they added too much fluff initially. But I think "My unicorn girl" did a good job balancing the rom/com and friendship together. It would be nice if they extended the drama for another two episodes haha
In episode 22, did anyway catch the joke when the uncle found out that the coach reads "Ikemen paradise," AKA "Hana Kimi" lol! Such irony since "Hana Kimi" has the same gender-bend trope like this drama where the main girl is cross dressing as a guy to get into the school lol! XD
Since the drama is coming to an end, I feel like the writers just wasted potential on Episode 21 with a cliche conflict. The episode got so draggy to watch! Couldn't they have avoided misunderstandings and the dramatic break up if only Sang Tian told Wen Bing and his mom that she's a girl?! Like why go through that much trouble about her gender identity if Wen Bing already knew she was a girl from the start?!
Anyway, I'm just glad everything is back to normal by episode 22. Too bad this drama is coming to an end; I really wanted to see more moments of Sang Tian and Wen Bing together; their chemistry is so good! I can't get enough of Darren's acting!! <3
