I can only imagine that during the time of concubines, they would all have been vying for their husband's attention, even if his behaviour showed weakness by favouring one wife with affection. However, he bullies the ML to make himself feel powerful.

Agree! It’s frustrating how double standards persist in so many dramas. It would be good to see female characters portrayed with the same depth and freedom as their male counterparts. When will writers stop reinforcing outdated stereotypes and give us strong, relatable female leads? It’s a global issue, not just limited to K-dramas.

I hope this has a happy ending.
