Thank you. Well, that was my five cents worth. ;-) Sorry, I couldn't resist. It's up there with poor subtitles. Luckily, my Chinese is non-existent, but sometimes, the subtitles seem odd.

Thank you. I'll have just finished reading it. I still think the synopsis should be rewritten, as this relationship is unclear. For example adding - the grandmother, who is Yao Zhi Ming's biological grandmother and a significant figure in their family, has a complex family background. Her son is Yao's father, making Yao her direct descendant. On the other hand, Mai Cheng Huan's father is her stepson from a different marriage, which means Mai and Yao are not related by blood. To add to the mix, the grandmother brings Mai and Yao together through business, allowing them to work closely. This helps sustain the family's legacy and deepens Mai and Yao's professional and personal relationships. The outcome is that it kick-starts Mai’s remarkable personal growth and self-discovery journey.
I've just started watching this series. I am confused about the synopsis. I am confused about the role of the grandmother. It seems like there is just one grandmother in the story, who plays a pivotal role by recognising the transformation in Mai Cheng Huan and entrusting her with managing the family's valued hotel business. Is this correct? But this same grandmother appears to be a central figure within the family, supporting Mai Cheng Huan’s personal and professional growth and being connected to Yao Zhi Ming, indicating the, ML and FL, share the same grandmother. Her role seems to be that of the matriarch whose decisions and beliefs impact the younger generations significantly. So is the FL having a relationship with the ML? I think the synopsis above needs clarification.
I don’t know why getting to this series took me so long. Both lead actors have great chemistry, and the female lead is charismatic and expressive. The storyline is wonderful, too. Kudos to the writing and production team.
I find the two leads having great chemistry actually. The matured type? The characters are quite attractive when…
Yes, a sad and happy ending is nigh; a seed will be sown, and the forthcoming generation of photographers will emerge soon. And I have to say that as a character, Go Dae Ri, is cute.
I was totally ignorant of what occurred in south korea in the 80's. I only recall the Olympics of 1988, that's…
They have indeed come a long way. The early '80s seem to have been years of unrest, while the late '80s showed significant improvement. All in all, it was not an easy road for the parents and grandparents. The young South Koreans are now benefiting from their parents/grandparents' hard work.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
