Ngl, it's 1 am rn and I was feeling a bit excited because this is when the episodes are posted. Had to take a min tho, to realise that the series has come to an end. Now I just feel...empty?
Though the ending ended up being the thing I wasn't looking forward to the most (i.e a badly potrayed/developed HE/BE) I still will admit that this drama has left a great impact. I've never been more invested in an ongoing drama, before. Started off with 'fall in love' and accidentally found this drama-while browsing. Lol still don't really know how that plot has developed as I dropped that drama for this one.
This drama was a rollercoaster and honeslty a trainwreck at some parts. But what can I say except this drama had me around it's lil finger. Literally couldn’t go a day without thinking about it.
Hopefully some day I'll get to understand this drama's theme of 'fight, sacrifice and die for the nation'. But as of rn, it urks me how this type of mentality influenced the way things turned out in the end.
Drama has drained me a bit, so ig I should probs get some sleep. Maybe in the morning I'll start ranting about how the ending was 'bull-' but eh. Enjoy your night/morning/afternoon everyone ^.^
Just wanted to say, the drama aside, I'm going to miss the interactions I've had with some of y'all. It felt nice to be somewhat a part of a particular 'fandom'/'community group' in the drama world, for the first time. Your theories and discussions often kept me eager to watch the next episodes-especially during days where no episodes were posted. When I needed to rant a bit about the plot-I could, without getting backlash. So thank you guys. Hope you all take care :)
Never seen anyone more enthusiastic to finally feel pain. Lol the Emperor ordering Eunuch Mu to punch him😆-Got to be the funniest scene in this drama for me
Lolo they really don't have any 'strong' 'villains' in this story, do they?
Lord Chang should've just stuck to training his eagles. Who knows, maybe if he trained them long enough they'd do a much better job of carrying out his plans-than his minions who manage to mess up every single time (tho can't fully blame them, if the one making the plans is incompetent). I couldn’t help but laugh knowing his mini-rebellion plan was gonna fall through. Was a cute attempt tho.
Like many other people have stated tho, I can't help but continue to watch this 'train wreck'. At this point,…
He definitely is a pitiful character. He's carrying the burden of the nation, the Emperor and ofc of his true love. I may not agree with most of the things he does, but I do think his sense of loyalty and duty is unmatched.

Yeah, you're right. Haishi would obviously have still refused it. I just thought that she (and some of the users on here) would've understood his decisions better if he notified her of the plan-but ofc as you said he would rather she hate him than grieve over him-when he dies.
It is sad tho, that he's willing to be the 'villain' in this love story in order to protect Haishi🥺

According to some novel spoliers I think you are correct. In the novel Master was manipulative and used everyone as his pawns.
The justification of Shifu's decision to give Haishi to the Emperor is valid (to some extent) and that's what's making me feel conflicted. Its a desperate-last min decsion, and I can understand that. I feel like my main problem is that he keeps Haishi out of the loop as always. If he explained to her why this is a choice he must make (i.e because he's dying and people are after her) imo this would've made a lot more people sympathize with his actions. But to just send her to the Harem-suddenly, with no consultation, is definitely an issue-and I understand why Haishi feels like she's been betrayed and used by him.

Also, you've had some great thoughts over the previous episodes. Thank you for the lil interactions :)
