I love Zhuo Ying, best bro ever! He teases her a lot but is super protective and hyperaware of changes in her…
Couldn't agree more. Makes me tear up sometimes at how he takes care of Haishi as if she's one of his own. Haishi is blessed to have him as her sworn brother.
Juet saw the trailers for ep 33 and 34 and omghshs. Master bought up breaking the baixi bond. Thank you. Oml.…
Lol don't know what I was thinking in my initial comment, but I don't think he'll force Hashi to be his consort in order for the Baixi to be broken. Its more likely that Master begs the Emperor to take Haishi as his consort-in order to ensure her safety. Perhaps the Emperor takes her in for this reason and maybe also so that Haishi can either produce an heir or raise Tilan's if dies from childbirth.
From the trailers and snippets in MVs, this is my prediction on how things will go down…- Fang Jian Ming asks…
This is by far the theory I support the most-as it not only somewhat correlates to my own predictions , but is also logical/realistic. Also if linking with the book, this story is realistically bound to have a tragic or bittersweet ending-which Im hoping ill be prepared enough for.
Wait what. Just watched the trailer for ep 33 again, and is it just me or is it implying that Haishi will have to go against someone close to them. Is it Zhuoying? I slowed down the video when she was fighting with someone, and the person kinda looks like Zhuoying. Im most likely wrong, and really am hoping Im wrong. Its just that when paired with what Haishi says to Master about being cold-blooded, this could be a possibility?
Juet saw the trailers for ep 33 and 34 and omghshs. Master bought up breaking the baixi bond. Thank you. Oml. He's finally not gon hold back his feelings for Haishi, and actually attempt to start a relationship with her. If Im not wrong, the ending scene of the trailer for ep 34, is where Master confesses his love and back-hugs Haishi.
I know I shouldn't get my hopes up too much-especially from the trailers, but Im praying that they get to spend some time together as a couple-before Haishi has to enter the Harem for some reason.
Honestly tho, don't know how breaking the baixi bond would work but I swear if the Emperor refuses Master's request or forces Haishi to be his concubine in order to agree to the bond being broken, he's absolutely done for!
Princess Yanling: -Confirmed suspicions. She ain't the Princess lol or even if she is she's going to strart trouble -Her commander kinda gave it away. Lmao I thought it was kinda funny how he crept out into the graden and buried the peony cakes. Like Im pretty sure there was a better way to get rid of the cakes without making the whole thing look so sus lmao. -Since she has the mark on her arm and has managed to convince the nanny that she is the real Princess, I'm worried about how cunning she'll get in the next epsiode.
Lord Chang: -Want to shove an egg down his throat with the way in which he was getting Haishi to carry out the wedding prep. Sure, it might sound like I'm being too harsh, but I can't help but believe that he's playing a big part un the drama surrounding the Emperor and Master. I'd even say he knows about the connection between Master and Haishi and so hes using this wedding as an opportunity to distance them.
Zhouying: -Sad seeing how he knows Haishi is unhappy but can't really do nothing about it.
Tilan: -Such a pity that she can't have children anymore. That darn Emperor man. -Im wondering if this will link to why Haishi becomes the Emperor's concubine/empress. Does Haishi give birth to his heir. Or does Tilan somehow manage to give birth-but suffers heavy consequences from it i.e death, and so Haishi raises the child. I guess we'll have to find out.
Youdu: -My hero. Thank goodness for someone like Youdu. Without him, Haishi would be going through all of this alone. His scenes with Haishi-from the horse scene, to the drinking scene to the wedding prep stuff. Oh gosh. Man has fallen in love. On top of that I absolutely agree with what he told Haishi-about cherishing her true love-in order not to live a wasteful life. I'm hoping she will reflect on this in the upcoming episodes(if she remembers it lol)
Haishi: -Girl Idk how she manages to keep going through all of this but I both admire and pity her. Shes becoming more like Master in terms of not showing her emotions and all though I can see that being a good thing in some cases, its honestly just sad.
Master: -Appears that he also has suspicions against Princess Yanling, but again remains calm. Really hoping that my prediction becomes true and that this wedding is a setup. -On a brighter note, couldn't help but laugh when Master got frustrated from Haishi calling him Youdu, and ended up writing his full name out on to her palm. Also his reaction when Youdu had his arm around Haishi's waist.
The upcoming episodes look both exciting and nerve-wracking. Can't wait.
I freaking didn’t expect this!!! How could FZ do this? Its better he should have been an eunuch..Episode 29…
Don't worry too much guys. Judging from the rest of the trailers, the marriage was a setup to get Princess Yanling to reveal who she truly is/why she really returned.
I agree with you ...I love the drama so far. And can we give a moment appreciation to writer for giving ZL character…
So true. I was initially worried that they would make her a 'damsel in distress' who would rely solely on Zhouying, but Im happy that they made her a character who can be independent and work past her condition
Just watched the trailers for the upcoming episodes, and honestly feeling a bit overwhlemed. Everything is just progressing so fast-I can't catch up. Im afraid we'll no longer see the close bond between Master, Haishi and Zhuoying, as it is hinted in trailer for ep 32-that Zhuoying leaves-possibly to find his brother who's most likely behind the attacks on the Emperor.
Princess Yanling: Suspicious as heck. Don't really get the peony/lotus business but her mannierisms as well as lost of skill in tea making etc is pretty err. Unless this is a misdirect I'm going to say that she harbors some twisted intentions.
Emperor and Tilan: -I admire Tilan for keeping a neutral composure especially when Princess Yanling was trying to approach her with the purpose of getting information. -The Emperor pamping her is uh...but Im hoping this is a part of his plan to reveal her true self
Zheliu and Zhouying: -Zheliu's starting to be overworked and I don't really like that -Zheliu working with Haishi to find the perfume stuff is good but Im scared that the Princess' people will come after her-if they have bad intentions -As always I admire Zhouying's straightforwardness. I agree with what he said about Haishi going to grow up one day into a woman-meaning she can'tstay in the army forever . Master knows this is true-and his reaction shows that. -Honestly wasn't expecting him to find out about Haishi and Master this 'early' but it's good, so that he can look out for Haishi more
Youdu: -Such a cutie. I'm hoping he'll help Haishi to cheer up a bit-over the next few episodes. So far his and Haishi's scenes have been great. I lowkey kinda like seeing Master being slighlty jealous.
Haishi and Master: -In the trailers I had intially thought that Master had thrown away Haishi's flowers-so I was kinda sad, but Im glad it wasn't hers. -I agree with Haishi's suspicions around Princess Yanling but I'd wish she was a lil bit more discreet. I mean if the princess truly is 'bad'-then Haishi is at risk of being targeted first as she keeps questioning the proncess about the whole peony/lotus thing -I like Master's discretion with the matter, tho it does pain me that he's treating Haishi as if she's useless -As much as I admire Haishi being mature, and Master being dutiful, a part of me still feels sad that their relationship has resorted to just 'orders'.
Apologies for this mess of a review. I know its not as thought out, but my thoughts are kinda jumbled up a bit-and ig this is the best I can present them.
You know, that 'pay extra to view episodes early' program the chinese web tv platforms had, I hated when it existed.…
Right! Not that I was gonna be able to pay for early access anyways, but if I had the means, I'd be pissed if it got ceased when I finally found a drama worth watching😩
Thanks for the info :)
Yeah I've heard that the novel is a bit dark.
