If my comment is hateful, then by your own logic, telling someone to “go back and learn from school” is rude and disrespectful. Just a few words and you’ve already judged someone.

Even if a commenter has grammar mistakes, their comment doesn’t make sense, or you think it lacks logic, that’s still their opinion and perspective. Everyone has their own opinions, and that’s exactly why discussion forums exist to agree, disagree, and exchange views. You don’t get to dismiss someone’s opinion and tell them to “go back and learn from school.”

So if my comment counts as hate, then your comment is rude. Period. And the same goes for you. If you still don’t understand why your comment is rude, maybe read it over again until it sinks in.

I don’t hate his review just because he sends me links. Some reviews I’m neutral about, so I don’t reply at all. But for this one, I had an opinion, so I replied. Just because he sends annoying links isn’t a reason to block him. I already told him I don’t want any more links to his reviews, but I keep getting them. It automatically sends to everyone on his list. And y you are right, I will unfriend him now instead of blocking.

And my comment is not hateful. Hateful comments are things like wishing someone harm, insulting their family, or using extreme slurs. I’ve seen plenty of users on MDL and other forums use far harsher language and swear words than anything I’ve ever written. This was just my opinion on the review, not hate.

So no, I’m not being hateful. I’m just pointing out the review and the way it was sent, and giving my honest perspective.

Regarding your second point, what’s wrong with that? How is that rude? As soon as user Eliot_Rulez finished his/her review, he/she automatically sent the link to everyone’s inbox and expected us to read it. How would you feel if your inbox was constantly flooded with links to read someone’s review? I don’t think it’s rude, it’s just annoying.

I already did explain it to you. If you don’t like the show, that’s your opinion but don’t go around reviewing something you clearly haven’t even finished. The English subtitles aren’t even out yet! At least have some respect for the actors, staff, and directors who spent hundreds of hours working tirelessly day and night to bring this show to life. You’re free to have your own opinion but calling it trash, giving it 3.5 stars, marking it as completed when you didn’t even finish it, and then PM’ing your friends the link so everyone can see your rushed review, that’s where you went wrong.

Clearly you rushed through this without even watching it properly. The final episode is 1 hour and 45 minutes long and doesn’t even have English subtitles yet! Unless you speak Thai, we all have to wait 24 hours to watch it with subtitles. Yet you already marked it as completed and gave it a low review? Seriously? You’re literally the only one giving low ratings here. I get that everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, but don’t rush through a series just to post a half-baked review. You’ve done this so many times already, it’s ridiculous.

And honestly, it’s so annoying how you PM everyone after posting your review like you expect us all to read it. No one cares that much. That’s exactly why so many people are blocking you. Please grow up and stop spamming our inboxes, it’s beyond irritating and we’re all seriously getting tired of it.

Just because your country is homophobic does not mean the rest of the world is. By your own comment, the risk of losing your job or going to jail applies to a tiny minority globally, probably less than 10%. And if your country is really that extreme, then how are you here openly watching LGBTQ+ content and commenting about it? If they can supposedly trace your credit card statements, they can just as easily track your VPN and viewing history. So either your story is exaggerated, or you are already risking jail by even being here.

For the other 90%+ of people, the reality is very different. They have safe, legal options. For them, piracy isn’t survival, it’s pure laziness and selfishness.

And if you truly cared about the creators, you would never be encouraging others to pirate. Using your personal circumstances as a shield to justify piracy for everyone is not only dishonest but damaging to the industry.

So yes, I can acknowledge your situation, but don’t twist it into an excuse for the rest of the world. Most of us can pay legally, and if we choose not to, then we are the reason these shows get cancelled.
