Yes, I am happy that the characters are well fleshed out.

It's good to see them working together but at the same time, it doesn't make sense. Baili reluctantly joined hands with GBZ because he wanted to find out about his father's death. Once that is resolved, there's no motivation to continue. But i know he will because firstly, his dad's case is not completely solved and secondly, Baili can be considered a righteous man who is getting more interested in worldly affairs and will help if needed.

Somehow I don't think he's the big villain. I even wonder if his illness is real, I had suspected it's fake. Maybe he's poisoned, slow type?

In this drama, anyone is sus. In history, Wuzetian was so suspicious of everyone too! Hence the whole network of spies, informers and cray cray politics. Only imperial family kill each other. Where else can you find father killing son and vice versa?

I don't like him but I don't expect him to approve of their relationship. At first I thought he might be the bad guy and faking his illness. But tonight's episodes showed that he is just hating GBZ for personal reasons. However, doesn't rule out that he might become foil their plans in order to destroy GBZ.

Oh my! Just finished ep 13 and 14. Can't wait for tomorrow's episode! Why does this drama always leave me asking for more?
