I adore Yang Zi's original voice! It's so sweet and cute! Prefect for her while doing cutefluffy scenes as well as serious and hertbreaking scenes!
Really, voice actors does make the characters more memorable. I can hear their voice ringing in my ears just by those gifs! Especially LWJ calling "Wei Ying" and CXJ calling "Si Feng".
True, sometimes voice dubbing can be a little annoying coz sometimes they use too much childish voices for 25 year old FLs. But if the chracters and the voice actors used are right, it'll stay in our memory forever!
Haha, I used to do the same thing, like assuming that the names of the characters and actors are similar until I learned that they are written differently in Chinese.😆

I have not watched another of his dramas after WYWS, if you don't count his cameo in WFKBJ.
