In the novel PWX apologize and begged to LR many times to reconcile after she left him by telling her that he actually loves her but she always rejected him infront of SRQ by humiliating him and saying that she has already found her true love in SRQ and doesn't want someone's leftover. LR was one head-strong women who never believed in PWX in first life and even in the second life till the end, she always does things without any consideration of how PWX felt and if not for the great patience that PWX shows in the second life also by accepting all her nonsense and immaturish decision she took that made his heart bleed, they wouldn't have been ever together, also the only reason she has married PWX again was because of the betrayal of SRQ otherwise she would have never reconciled with PWX as she never trusted him.

In the end SRQ along with consort Rui tried to rebel and poison the king while capturing both the Li Siblings in the palace to kill them as he wants the son from Consort Rui and his first brother sit on the throne but he is stopped by PWX as he already knew about his plan and while fighting to end, PWX takes SRQ to his house and later burns it by telling everyone that he had killed SRQ but in reality he had left an escape route for SRQ and keeps him alive for the sake of the past relationships between SRQ and LR and their love.
2. About Ding dong between LR and SRQ it will probably be more of a flashbacks throughout the drama about their relationship and how they took care and loved each other, while in this life it would be only longing from both side nothing more.

You should know that these fantasy romance stories act as a way for Asian women to get out of their real life, here they get cindrella stories/weak heroine with 3-4 CEOs chasing them/ strong women with 3-4 simps polishing her/,,etc etc. Mostly 70% audience are married women or above 20 age who dreams of their parents to be like the leads but never get it so they spend their whole time rooting their own favourite and enjoying the romance through these superficial dramas. .... Let it be what it is as that's the case of every Asian dramas they are mostly shoap operas. made for womens.....

Even in the second life she only accepted PWX because of not having any other choice as she knew that she can't marry SRQ because of her father and was also vary of him after knowing he was responsible for her death, in the novel even till the end she never believed in PWX though they flirted, missed and even had babies together but she was always immature and did things that hurt PWX and he had to accept everything in the name of love

You're right about Li Rong being annoying in the novel. I think it would have been better if ML got some new love interest instead of always begging for her love in both lives. He did apologize to her plenty of times even in the first lifetime but she never listened.

She doesn't trust him till the end in the novel, their love is extremely slow burn.

If you read the novel you would know that the FL was extremely strong headed and does whatever she believes without consulting or thinking about the consequences, that's why ML wanted her to confront her own feelings in this life as he had already apologize many times in the past life and tried to mend their relationship but she never cared about himand tried to find love in SRQ but now after knowing that Su Rong was behind her death their was some hope for him, so he wanted to feel her heart and know whether she could open up to him or not, that's why he also told her in ep10 that even if she feels that she and SRQ are same kind of people she couldn't be happy with him because for SRQ his family would be always above her.

The kissing scenes between the FL and SML are in the past life; in this life even though she still had feelings for SML she never expresses completely as she is hesitant about him being the one to poison her in previous life and also after knowing his true nature that for SML his family would be always above her, she decides to bend towards the ML and improve their relationship as it was him who has always cared for the FL happiness. Maybe that part of the novel with SML being intimate with FL be censored out for drama or they would show it in the flashback in the coming episodes

Yes he was Eunuch after being castrated by the king, but LR and SRQ still loved, kissed and slept with each other.

Maybe they would include the one kiss scene which the FL and SRQ did infront of ML in the lantern festival where it's the fl who took the initiative to kiss SRQ while on a date with him and the ML is left heartbroken seeing them getting intimate from far and decides to completely let her go from his life and be happy with her newfound love, that was a deciding factor of their relationship because before that Pei Wan still hoped that their relationship could be amended.

The drama isn't over yet, it still has 30 more episodes to show the mistakes and decision they took in the past which lead to the consequences of their death and broken marriage.

That's why everyone reading the novel felt that the FL doesn't deserve the ML (the ML did took care for zenzen as a childhood friend or maybe his first crush when she was sick and bedridden nearing her death but he never cheated with her while the FL did all the deeds with her toyboy even after the disapproval of her husband and society while being married making a complete damage to their already broken relationship) and near the end in second life when both the leads are in love again, she herself tells the ML that she feels extremely ashamed of her past deeds and apologize for it and thinks that she doesn't deserve a man like him

In the novel LR loved SRQ deeply, and she kept him beside her even after getting shamed from everyone around her as she was still a married women, they even had kiss and bed scenes too and she was the one to first kiss and get intimate with SRQ in the novel. For instance, on the day of the lantern festival while Pei Wan was trying to remembrance his past with LR, taking the path they took when they newly married and liked each other he came across LR and SRQ getting intimate with eachother in the same place and by seeing all this from far made him miserable and heartbroken to the core making him cry while thinking that he has now completely lost her forever,.....She nearly loved SRQ for 27 years and completely got over Pei Wan even after his begging and crying to come back together, she rejected him multiple times throughout the 30 years of marriage by giving the reason that she already had found her true love in SRQ and don't want something leftover after the death of zenzen

She didn't feel sorry because she was a princess and didn't want some leftover, her love wasn't based on trust as she has seen the palace politics from birth and knew how things can get messy. She knew that he doesn't truly loved zenzen and he loves her but confused about his feelings but still because of anger she starts spending time away from him and got a seperate room to sleep and finally she found a new love and solace in Su, ( they fell in love the first time they saw each other in novel) While afterwards she starts loving Su deeply and and starts getting intimate (kissing, hugging,dates and sleeping together) with him even after the begging and crying of the ML and told him that in this life they both have someone else they actually love so it was impossible to mend their lost relation again , she found her true love in Su Rongqing until she got poisoned by him and died.

In the second life he knows that Li Chuan would me made a emperor is he doesn't intervane as he wanted his cousin to be the emperor ( out of empress and his first brother illegitimate relationship), so he plans with the empress to kill both Li siblings as they were the real direct descendents and poison the king but is stopped by Pei Wan and Li Rong as they knew about his ambush to the palace, they both plan to capture him by making him believe that pei wan has left the capital while in reality he was hiding with the guards and waiting for Su to rebel thus succeding in pulling him in their trap and finally succeeded in stopping their attempt to murder the king. In the end when the ML and SML are fighting the ML still gives him a escape route while telling outside that he has killed Su because of the past relationships of Li Rong and Su.

Li Rong and Su loved each other for 27 years and they had also been intimate with each other like kissing and sleeping together with each other ( if you read the novel in one chapter it's mentioned that Pei Wan goes to the Princess chamber to apologise and mend their relationship but hears her moaning loudly and saying " Rong Qing, please be gentle" from outside her room and hearing this he became heartbroken and shattered from inside and knew that he has lost his wife forever while finally deciding to let her go from his life), it's only because of the truth that Su had poisoned her in first life that made the FL hesitate a little otherwise she would have married Su instead of Pei Wan.

This drama is based on novel and in novel the leads always has misunderstanding, the ML had a childhood friend whom he takes a lot of care and FL believed that he loves her while the FL even though married kept another lover beside her for 27 years and got intimate with him even though the leads were married in the first life and even after the begging of the the ML she never came back to him for past 27 years. The drama has only surfaced 10 episodes and we can clearly see the longing the FL had for SML but not know how much the Chinese censor the romance between the FL and SML

Just go to ep 9 were in the marriage night he and li rong are discussing how she could marry Su after their divorce in two years, 😂😂 the leads aren't as matured as you think
