I don't think xiguangs dad had much involvement.. the MLs father dies i think when he was 7 so around 20-21yr ago based on current timeline. (don't know if FLs fathers company was powerful at that time for him to interfere in the MLs grandpas company) I may be wrong about fls father's company though

The show didn't mention much but we can tell that even though he came from poor family the grandpa did accept him, otherwise he wouldn't have given him a position in his company.. later because of his mother's families scheming he was sent abroad and later died . After this the mother left the family and hasn't been in touch with them much.

here we can understand that the mother did love her husband so their marriage life was good.. I was shocked when it said she remarried 😅
