HOLY SHXT this is amazing. the queen is def top 10 female MCs. and every other character is so well written. this drama is multi-layered and balances so many different emotions at once: humor, tension, love. it's light but intense enough to keep you on your toes, and everything was done and answered so nicely from a story-making perspective. you will be confused in the beginning with many characters and the drama slowly picking up it's pace, but you will enjoy every single episode throughout! also, can we talk about those smooth transitions?? 🤣
came back after a year of watching this drama and I can't believe the rating is so low. yeah they fxcked up with wang shik but it was still an amazing show all around with literally every single genre you can think of. people who rated it low took it too seriously when it was meant to be a stupidly interesting show that wasn't like anything else.
it's been almost a year since I finished this kdrama and I still feel so angry when I think about it AAAAAAAAAAA…
same, he deserved better. apparently it was due to the actor's schedule conflict but like, they could have done something better. what happened felt so disrespectful to his character...
amazing kdrama. it has literally every theme you would want - thriller, romance, revenge, comedy, modern, classical, action, drama. it's so ridiculous and funny but at the same time makes you feel such strong emotions. don't take certain things too seriously and you'll find yourself enjoying it so much. I usually don't watch long kdramas but this struck me. it's literally been a year since I watched it but I came back to write about how great it was. my only issue is what they did with the second male lead. besides that, this is a must!!
Not as good as I expected it to be. Don't get me wrong, it's enjoyable and so are the characters. But the main issue felt like it was going on for last like 12 episodes. And there was so much angst and worry just for us to see them solve the issue for like a minute in the end? It felt boring to keep watching, making me lose interest with each episode because of how long they dragged it on for. It also felt like a rom-com in the beginning and then a melodrama after that, so it wasn't very consistent. It's a solid B- imo.
I liked this drama, but I wouldn't recommend it. It's interesting enough to want to keep watching, but boring to the point that I just wanted it to end. Not a waste of time but you could be watching something better. Definitely overrated. The ML's character/acting and relationship with his daughter was the only thing that did it for me tbh.
Because This is My First Life's male lead isn't cold at all! honestly, he's one of the kindest, most considerate leads i've seen in kdramas in a while. he's merely stoic. please consider changing the way he was described!
