I originally came into this thinking it would be another fun drama, and now it's one of my top favorites!! I don't usually rewatch things but I HAVE to rewatch this. The smugness of Joong-Won coupled with Gong Shil's brazen self, it's just not something you typically see in k-dramaland, so you could say it's.. SPECIAL (wink wink). And the fun little ghost stories that sometimes weren't so fun (but rather heartbreaking) that helped progress our couple's relationship, the adorable support characters (like, secretary Kim and the second male and female lead hello?). This show just does things different, and I don't even want to mention the amazing OSTs. In conclusion: WATCH THIS DRAMA!
An underrated drama. It was frustrating in the beginning, yes, but the people who are complaining probably never finished the show. The characters are very exaggerative or cliché in some ways, but the plot and emotion is far from that. Regardless it fits the theme and does it so well, like I couldn't imagine another show pulling that off. It was one of the things that made it so special. Overall it was weird, funny, sad, and beautiful. The ending was bittersweet. Just tore my heart out but it all made sense; at least now everyone is doing well even if it wasn't what we expected. I will not forget this! It's definitely one of my favorites now. And Seung-Jae too. That boy is a gem! I would totally watch a drama centered around him and "Hong Nan" haha.
Considering the drama the rating is pretty good tbh
i guess my complaints were that ML was a bit too harsh sometimes, i got too much secondhand embarrassment from FL, and i hated the whole "support character becomes her friend but ends up falling in love with her." besides that i thought it was amazing. i believe it deserves better, but then again it's been 3 years since i watched it haha
While I agree the asshole should have been thrown in jail, but for someone like him where his reputation meant…
it doesn't matter what you feel or what is personal to you, everyone gets the same punishment under the law. and that pain you say he felt went on for what, let's say a year? that is not equal whatsoever to the pain she, her daughter, her family, and his mom felt for a dragging SEVEN years.
Drama was ok overall but the ending left me disappointed, the punishment for the dude should have been harsher.…
definitely agree with everything you said army :) and i guess because of culture the mom thought it was okay if it happened "every once in a while," but i think it was more-so her desire to stay out of poverty and thought that one slap every now and then meant nothing if they all had a roof over their heads. we see this guilt happening with soo-han even though he didnt know about the abuse, but not so much his mom, which is why i wish they could have included that in the show so she could apologize, but it didnt happen sadly.
Really nice. What I loved the most was how it kept me hooked and made me want to watch the next episode as soon as possible. Acting was one of my favorite things about this show too.
