as far i know, she's brainwashed to think she is the shi guy daughter and they went to live in demon world, so she learn to kill and has to kill some people but only for survival purpose. the fact of kill or not to her is not because of some kind of morality gig, its bc she dont think its necessary/dont want to.

she dont mistreat him in any point as you insisted to say, this is just her personality that is straightforward. as much as i like gwan sik if wasnt her he would be always a pushover, also their relationship only started bc she wanted to and she led him. also her irritating personality as you said was what made her defend him many times and not let him face injustice
