there is no line from either character that justifies romance. And it has been shown several times that he sees her as the mother. The protagonist has already made it clear that he has no romantic interest in anyone and Yoon Tae Yi also has no such interest. Considering romance through a few comedic scenes only makes it clear that they are not really paying attention to the show, as they forgot that what motivated her approach to the protagonist was curiosity, and the fact that his existence and what he speaks to challenges.
