I ignored my instincts and sat on this one because of the negative reviews. Big mistake as this was refreshingly good and enjoyable. With nonBL gmmtv can be very hit or miss with how much melodrama to include (see Home School which was crap). This time they gave us the perfect balance. I would love a s2 for this series.
After the let down that was the ending to season one I almost skipped the sequel and I am so glad I changed my mind! I feel like the reviews ranting that 1st is better are from clueless people. TGG exceeded the standard of the original by miles. The only flaw to this season is Time, a lackluster character played by an equally lackluster actor. Otherwise, a great series that held me glued to my screen to the very end!
The sheer volume of positive reviews misled me. The Gifted is yet another example of how Thai drama’s in this genre cannot commit to a solid ultimate resolution.
I never thought I’d say this but I will be legitimately disappointed if Jack and Dean stay together at the end. The level of toxicity in that relationship is deadly. For both their sakes they’d be way better off never seeing each other again. I’m still on the fence about Arnold and Tua. Tua needs to grow up (not nearly as much as Jack). Rome and Raffy are the only one’s I’m routing for at this point. Also Timmy deserves a vacation for the amount of crap he deals with for this “play”.
If you don’t already love First and Khaotung, this series will absolutely change that. They are both such wonderful actors. This is one of the few BL series that actually achieves perfection for me. The whole cast did an amazing job and the story will live in my heart.
Catching up on recent episodes of Arm Share and ep 186 is a must watch! They celebrated Firsts birthday by meeting at a cat cafe. Then the birthday wishes from Khao to first 🥰
Well, that was a train wreck and not in a good way. Do I hate Dean less? No, not really. No surprise though that Mix is doing an incredible job as Dean. Jack now comes across as a gaslighting controlling jerk and Dean deserves better. RomeRaffy is just as messy and complicated as I hoped. We’ll see if that keeps going. I like Joss as Arnold and Gawin is good as Tua but somehow they have no chemistry together in these roles. I feel like Tua only likes Arnold because, after Boston, Arnold feels safe. So I didn’t like the 1st season of OF but everything I saw made it seem like OFDO wouldn’t have quite so much painfully messy melodrama that made me cringe. Now I’m starting to miss it though. It feels like they went from 100% to 5% when I was expecting 75%.
LOL2026 list is officially out and JossGawin were included. It’s highly likely they’ll get this series as recast since they were included but have no other major projects this year.
