Jigsaw! Now I feel the urge to rewatch Our Skyy 2. I’m so glad they managed to make that plot twist about their childhood connection endearing instead of cringe. This was another really good episode and I hope they can keep the momentum going through the finale.

At Fanival Phuwin said the blond hair is gone now due to filming. Maybe work will start on this title sooner than anticipated?

So Roommate Chaos will have 24 episodes meaning easily 60+ Qs. Add in Round One and I realistically I don’t see this title being touched until mid next year. Again I wish this had gone to a different CP as I was looking forward to this story.

I didn’t even think of that, thank you!

Was there an announcement bc I can’t find anything.

Mixing up the teams this season is interesting but it makes me wish they included CLO’VER. I really want to watch William and Keen running around together.

I see, thank you for explaining, also the info about the 2nd pair in the novel. It felt a bit weird to me how they could be so toxic but also have histories clearly intended to raise sympathy.

I appreciate how both Match Point and now Weirdo 101 have given us parents who fail at parenting, acknowledge their mistakes and seek to do better. All too often in Asian dramas such failures are swept aside and/or excused bc they are “elders who should be respected no matter what they do.”

May I ask why you kept watching? I mean, if you didn’t like the series from the start why keep going? This is not sarcasm, I’m genuinely curious.

I am so disappointed in this episode for giving us the worst setup possible. Up to now I’ve looked past the many flaws of this title and just enjoyed the series for its good aspects. But now I’m seriously torn between giving up and actually attempting to suffer through the final episode. I can’t tell if I’m angrier at the writers or the director. I really like ThamMac but I’m not sure if anything can save this story now.

Well, for one moment I thought there was a shred of decency in Mochi but nope. If you take Krit and Mochi’s storyline and completely removed Khobfa and Rin, it could have been a decent enough if heavily trope ridden love story on its own. Nothing ground breaking but it could have worked. Guy stuck in a crappy relationship with a demanding/controlling bf asks old friend from HS to help him escape the relationship. They fake date, turns to real feelings, fight family pressure and earn a happy ending. Absolutely been done before but has an appeal, especially with the right pair. Instead it gets shoved into Unlucky Bae and just makes things even more overly complicated. Honestly the Thai trend of shoving an extensive number of storylines and/or genres into one series can sometimes fail very badly and Unlucky Bae has sadly become another example.

Declaring something is “not acceptable” is not your call. Unless you happen to be someone like say the president of the company? I agree there have been some bad Thai remakes, just as there have been some bad Korean, Chinese and even Japanese remakes of another country’s works. Horrible remakes can occur anywhere so attacking a single country is a bit ill mannered. Also, out of curiosity, are you aware of the fate of the Roman Empire?

I see your point. I’m going to hope that he’ll respect the seriousness of the subject matter.

If the production house just made a similar series people would criticize them for ripping off High&Low. So they form a partnership that allows them they to use the concept but give it their own cultural feel while still looking to honor the source material. And still people criticize it for things like being unacceptable bc it won’t be Japanese enough? These actors, some of whom already have training, will be doing workshops for months before filming begins UNDER a Japanese director. Perhaps you could consider waiting until the full trailer is released before judgment? Or just walk away? You aren’t required to watch the series.

Not every show will appeal to all audiences and that’s okay. Also, sometimes it depends on the mood of the viewer. I just couldn’t get into Boys in Love at first. Later I tried rewatching it and discovered I really did enjoy it. So, perhaps giving it a little time?

TingTing is so cute! So excited for the day he gets to meet Papa and PingPing 🥹

Stellar final episode! I am really going to miss these characters but I cannot wait to see what TeshowPing do next.

They cut him out

Just a reminder that Tay, New, Off, Gun, Pond, Phuwin, Gemini, Perth, Joss, Gawin, Krist, Keen, Sea Tawinan and many other actors in an active BL pairing have been in “straight” series and/or had a female love interest in a series. So Est is in good company. Also there’s nothing wrong with a “straight” series having a BL or GL secondary couple. In reality sexuality is a spectrum and just bc the main couple are different genders does not mean all the other characters have to be the same. Art imitates life and life can be quite boring if everyone is exactly the same.

I rather hope not. I like Satang but I feel like it would be a bit of a slap in the face to Winny if he’s added to the cast. There’s a few names I’d like to see added as additional support roles but right now is also way too early. I’d love to see DewTee show up in Arrest and Action though, even if just as guest stars.
