I admire your positivity,,,, but I think CYS will betray GC, OSJ, and the team at some point. That scene where he told GC not to suspect his family {{{there was literally a subtle threat in his words}}} took away the little faith I had in him. He'll clearly choose to protect his family, if it comes to that , especially if he OSJ will decide to date GC.
But maybe towards the final episodes he will realize his mistakes? But my theory is at first he will choose his family over them

The people who think the romance is unnecessary and wish it remained a revenge plot are promoting the strong woman stereotype, which I find to be very problematic sometimes. She is not expected to feel something and she can't have someone taking care of her because that makes her "weak",,, she has never been loved right, even the guy who was supposed to her baby daddy doesn't seem to care about her. She needs GC for emotional, physical, and mental support. Like her success atp depends on his presence in her life, she can't handle three rich, powerful men by herself.

I must admit the theme is interesting and the CGI is great! But atlst u kinda agree with me we can't separate Reba's popularity from her characters' popularity. I literally started watching the show because of her, she is the only one I know in the cast lol

Remember Oh Soo Jae promised to get GC out? She said she believed him and she also started working at TK law firm (for the chairman) during that same period (I hope I remember that right??) my guess is she pulled some strings to win his case. That's why I'm arguing all of them are connected, GC's sister murder, TK law firm/chairman and his associates, and Oh Soo Jae.

I think the decision to open up to GC is more from a trust perspective than intimacy? Throughout the show GC has proved he genuinely cares about her and wants to protect her, without expecting something in return. I would feel safe telling such a person my deepest secret because I know they'll protect it no matter what. What do u think?

I also have a feeling he'll get Gong Chan into trouble because I feel he likes Oh Soo Jae too. He will betray them at some point, he's his father's son maybe he shares some of his behaviors

And a bar/restaurant....that man is an adult. So the age difference shouldn't be a problem

They blame him because the society for some reason always blames the victim . Also, Oh Soo Jae said that something in ep 5 that is unfortunately true in real life, people tend to remember/ hold on to the first trial more than any other. So, whether the real culprit is arrested or not Gong Chan's image in the public eye will always be tainted.

For your second question, my theory is that they're protecting someone more powerful, someone connected to the chairman, could be his son or one of those powerful men he's working with. Why would the man confess? Maybe he was threatened or offered a huge money deal, or some sort of protection to his family? There are so many possible reasons but I guess we'll have to watch and find out more.

Fair argument but you know we don't expect the adaptation to be similar to the book. Honestly, I have never seen an adaptation that is an exact copy of its original creation because apart from censorships, films also have other restrictions including time and resources. But the thing is, the script writers should create a story that is easy to understand for all audiences, including those who haven't read the book. So, if I have to read the book to understand something in the film then they missed some marks lol

I understand what you're trying to say but I'm still going to stand by my first argument Xiao Shun Yao should not be a support character, especially in Part 1. The story is more about him and JYH, his relationship with his father, and struggles of being a young master (his journey to leadership in general), which honestly overshadows CY's role (because at this point he is just an innocent love interest with no story).
Secondly, if we're to look at the character's ratings we MUST consider the actors'/actresses' popularity. I know some people will disagree with this, but let us be honest, most of us are always so biased when supporting our favorite celebrities and since the FL and ML are way popular, most people will support their characters more explaining why they top rankings. I'm not saying they were bad, no they actually did a great job at delivering whatever script they were given. I'm just saying the writers failed to build that intensity between the two leads, especially with CY.

But don't you think if I have to read the novel to understand the adaptation then the script writers did a bad job?

Like I'm wondering why they put Xiao Shun Yao as a support role when he literally has more screen-time and deep character than the main male (Ren Jia Lun)??? the couple feels like support characters even though they should be the main focus of the story

Maybe he doesn't know he loves him because he has never had to think or worry about it. Think of it this way, u made a promise to take care of someone when u were a child, u grow up together, neither of u has a significant other so there has never been issues of jealousy or any challenge to test how u actually feel. I think to him it has always been like, "I will always be with him" so he never tried to figure out if emotions are involved or not.
Plus he also said something I find important "I want to be with a human, not a doll" (Not sure if that's the exact wording but sth close to that lol). Maybe he is waiting for KK to stop hiding who actually is. Just my thoughts though

If my memory is correct, I think she appeared at the right time in the anime. But in the drama she appears right from the beginning even before the seven shrek devils come together and I don't understand why they did that lol. Like the character was insignificant in early episodes, they could have just introduced her at the right time when she was finally relevant to the story

So I'm in ep25 nd I'm wondering why this girl Hu Lie Na has so much screen time? More than most of the Shrek devils and I can't even figure out her purpose in the storyline lol

So, I'm African and I honestly don't get upset whenever I see people using some elements from the black/African cultures (e.g braids or dreads in this case). But we shouldn't invalidate other black people's feelings since they have a right to be upset based on their experiences. Just like I've seen a lot of Asians calling out non-Asians to stop using their culture to promote stereotypical representation of Asian communities, they should stop doing the same to black people. The respect should be mutual.

@11amber don't u think u talking too much considering u already know they are still shooting? Of course once they're done its going to be different, the quality will be better and they'll have more material to include in the next trailer, hopefully. But either way, that's how all businesses work, its always about attracting investors and pleasing consumers.

@Lou I don't know why u think Seokhoon is selfish because if you paid attention in Ss1 and 2, Seokkyung was literally manipulative and he put up with her trashy behaviors. Like he was always receiving JDT's extreme punishments for things he never did to protect her. Plus, they're old enough now anyways, sitting for their finals. She needs to grow up and think on her own and learn to make the right decisions.
