Sometimes, as an engineering grad myself, I wish I attended university in Thailand. I really love the orientation culture there, especially the gears ceremony. I barely knew my seniors in college so I would have loved connecting with seniors and then taking good care of juniors once I'd become a senior.
I saw Deng Kai for the first time in Chasing Ball and he had a kind of bromance role with another guy who had a gf....but their story wasn't the main story(or the side story) so the bromance scenes were too little. But I thought at that time Deng Kai would do well in bromance and possibly BLs. So, I really like the chemistry he shared with Zu Yi. Hoping to see him in more shows!
Ep 17: I thought only Wei Jie was dumb, but Guanyu was dumber. Not only he went to that Japanese guy alone, he freaking carried firecrackers on his body and was destroy everyone with him in a heroic move....and then the ignited firecrackers got extinguished by rain. 🤦♂️ Should have looked up the weather forecast before executing such plan.
So, I know OffGun would be the end game but damn DewGun is so freaking hot together! And I really thought Dew will go as far as flirting with Gun but not more than that.....but we got a kiss already!
Personally, I think this show focuses on how human emotions and decisions work. Each of us have an unique personality and our own ideals and thoughts. We were given a glimpse of the thoughts that run on the minds of three leads. Based on their thoughts, they made both planned and unplanned decisions. And sometimes because of their own principles, they form a judgement and refuse to see the truth. Kang Pa Rang was afraid to be left alone. When he was a kid, his parents barely had time for him. His grandma used to care for him during the vacation but eventually she had to go. So, he realized that he is always being abandoned by everyone around him. When he attended school, he wanted to be sure that no other person feels lonely like him. At some point, he must have followed every other person in the classroom but everyone labelled him a weirdo. Siwon was the one who figured out that Pa Rang dislikes to be alone and she took it upon herself that she will be there for him. To justify her accompanying Pa Rang everywhere, she confessed to her classmates that she liked Pa Rang. Meanwhile, Sieon liked Siwon and despised Pa Rang being together with her. He befriended Pa Rang to get more close to Siwon. And for the next ten years, Pa Rang was taken care by Siwon and Sieon. But Pa Rang had been there for Sieon and Siwon as well. When Siwon got sick, he cancelled his date to be with her. He always asked Sieon if he'd feel lonely or bored while going home, so he accompanied him. Siwon and Sieon kept seeing Kang Pa Rang has a child and a nuisance to be taken care, so they overlooked when he cared for them(example: Siwon scolded Pa Rang when he recalled her period dates). In the end, everyone failed at love. But they learned their lessons. And in future, they will hope to try not to fail in love. That's how I interpreted this drama.
I was shipping Kang Parang and Sieon the whole time but now that I know that Sieon is such a manipulative dangerous person, I don't want anyone to end up with Sieon.
