Home School Feels More Like A 'Home' Than A 'School'
Wow! As a person who loves shows like The Gifted, this was just another masterpiece from GMMTV. I was intrigued when I first saw the trailer. In Home School, we have an ensemble cast with a solid storyline. Each actor/actress did their role with absolute perfection. But, we need to give shoutout to some people -
Well, Gun can't be forgotten. He is iconic as always. At this point, he needs to be given an Oscar. He proves his acting range every time with his roles. And he definitely suits these dark roles.
The actors playing Master Amin and Master Prasath deserve recognition. Especially, Prasath nailed his role with such ease and efficiently made me hate him.
Chimon as the autistic character Pennhung was just perfect. And I really liked the character development and redemption arc of Love as Pheng. I appreciate the AJ/JJ twins as well since in this show they got their well-deserved screen time. And Khaotung rocked those 2 minutes.
If you are looking for romance, then there's not much here. But, Jamie and Kay had great romantic scenes.
This series gave many life lessons, what differentiates a home and a school and mostly, what is the potential of love and friendship. People who love philosophy will find meanings in this show.
The background score was absolute perfection but sadly I don't see any official release of the music online.
Overall: 8.5/10. Worth one re-watch, if not more.
