Jipyeong deserves someone much better. The only reason I'm still watching this drama is to see what happens to him. Just want to see him get a happy ending, with or without Dalmi.

Jipyeong is always so caring about Dalmi's head like when she got into his car with Dosan or when she was hiding under the table. But Dalmi always bangs her head repeatedly against hard surfaces whenever she can't deal with reality. Jipyeong ah, why bother? She's got zero braincells left anyway... :(

I agree. Dalmi doesn't deserve Jipyeong. :/

If Dodal is endgame, what happens after episode 16 is different in my mind. By the time Dalmi finally realizes she made a mistake, Jipyeong already met someone better and started a family. "Should've used Noongil back then!" He says as he walks away with his wife and baby.

Some people may come back but that doesn't mean they deserve another chance. And sometimes, people realize things too late.

That was so enjoyable to read! Thanks for sharing! I think the most obvious one was Jipyeong = blue. The man even wrote in blue/turquoise ink on top of everything else. Most mind blowing to me was Jidal and Dodal colors and the rainbow reference from Wizard of Oz. OMG! And the fact someone noticed Dalmi's toenail colors was such great attention to details lol.

Agree with this list. I want to add Seo Kang Joon to this list as well. The two men who created serious SLS together in the same drama would be interesting to watch. Dimple man vs. brown eyed man.

I think you just contradicted yourself in your own post. You said it’s fine to evaluate the show and it’s problematic messages but then it's not okay to critique the writer's work and the character NDS as it's stepping the line and disrespectful of the writer's art?

So in the ideal world according to your post, people are just supposed to be spoon fed a drama with a bunch of disturbing messages promoting a toxic codependent relationship. Then they are supposed to clap and sing it's praises because the writer wrote something and we must like it like a bunch of mindless morons incapable of independent thought. Anyone who critiques the writer's ANYTHING is stepping the line and being disrespectful of art?

Instructing others how to think and behave based on what you deem to be acceptable is also "stepping the line". And taking it out here because of wanting "anonymity" instead of confronting the direct source is disrespectful of the people here. Is MDL supposed to be your emotional punching bag?

I have yet to see anyone on MDL trash NJH or Suzy because of the characters they play or any of these things you just listed. If you saw this on FB, twitter, or IG, maybe you need to take this out there with those people. It's getting tiresome to read this type of comment saying these things as if people HERE actually say or do those things. Can you point out WHO here said those things?

Although I find the previews to be misleading, I do believe if HJP distances himself from SDM, she will realize things. Since I think episode 6 when HJP ignored her calls, texts, and emails for a brief while, she kept calling him, emailing him, went to his office and then waited for him in the parking lot of his apartment.

Wonderful and enjoyable read. The last part is beautiful but made me sad. If HJP has to wait for SDM to finally join him at the top based on the pace she's going, he'll have to wait a realllly long time. Not worth it! Find someone else worthy of your time Sherpa Jipyeong!

I watched Season 2 without watching Season 1 and really enjoyed it. I don't know if the drama made any references to Season 1 that I didn't notice but you can definitely watch Season 2 by itself.

Same here. I don't think Dalmi deserves Jipyeong. Still rooting for Dalmi's success because of what happened to her father but I actually don't like her as a character. The only reason I'm okay with the Jidal endgame is because they made Jipyeong so emotionally invested.

It's funny, I was watching this in my own little bubble too until about 2 weeks ago where I seriously started to wonder what people thought about this drama with all the disturbing messages it was sending and the normalizing and romanticizing of toxic behaviors. It's not to say old school kdramas didn't have a hint of it here and there but I was surprised to see so much of it in one drama.

We all have our different preferences and opinions so my version of a wonderful and sweet man is more of Kang Ha Neul's Yong Shik in When the Camellia Blooms. I personally don't see it the same way for Dosan. Dosan is a very realistic character to me though. Maybe we all know a few Dosans in real life but I don't find him likeable, relatable, nor romantic.

Was it at 9 before? I always saw it around the 8.something range but I personally think it should be lower than that. The writing is terrible and not consistent with the writer's previous works. A lot of wrong and disturbing messages in this drama. The business aspect of it is quite ridiculous and laughable. It really is misleading calling it Startup. Too much focus on the love triangle and not enough focus on anything else.

Actually episode 7 is still okay compared to the rest of it. I don't think I shouted at my TV screen before that. Brace yourself for what is to come and it's so not even about the shipping war. What a waste of a beautiful cast. The writing is just inexcusable.

I'd rate this a 1 if it's still going to promote wrong and disturbing messages to the very end. This would mean the drama is being completely ridiculous and irresponsible. I wouldn't want young and impressionable viewers to watch this and be influenced by it. Plus, it's your rating of the drama and should be based on what you think of it. Ignore the ones that are whining about other people's ratings. No one is complaining about the people who rate this utter train wreck a 10 so why complain about anyone who rates it a 1.
