They always are. I see them in makeup ads all the time and I wonder if Iām supposed to ignore them or pretend that they look good? Anyway, the overly yellow tone of the nails was not a good choice; made her look like a chain smoker with nicotine stains. š«¤
In a Korean household there is no boundaries and parents donāt knock at door before entering in bedroom. There…
OK, but he wasnāt in the same home (palace?), he was at a hotel! Iāve seen parents letting themselves into their kidsā apartments without āpermissionā on various shows, sometimes to comedic effect.
But I canāt imagine the same lack of boundaries would apply when one of the family members has literally rented an entire suite of rooms at a hotel to get away from said other family members!
did they Adapt a youtube gringcy onrealistisch over the top make no sense drama? i will not stop it but it makes…
itās a Hallmark movie version of a Disney movie from what I can tell. Except longer and set in alternate universe Korea. Unrealistic for sure, but the Princeās interactions with the little King are sweet enough to keep me watching for now.
Just finished part 1. I'm not a big fan of Historical fantasy because they feel "too extra" or "low…
I was prepared to hate the next part too, especially after being thoroughly gutted by the ending of part 1. But even with my stubborn self it won me over. It feels like the storyline was always intended to be part of the full arc, like there were dangling threads that you didnāt even notice that are being pulled and woven back into the finished piece. By the end, you find yourself wondering if it was the ending that was always envisioned. I think the shorter episode count also forces the narrative to move along a bit more swiftly. But I also didnāt mind the pacing of the first season, it allowed the viewer to really get to know the characters and feel for them.
What annoys me about ML is that it ruined this masterpiece of a fight. I would have liked to see Pei Yi tear the…
the stupidity of the ML arguing that he didnāt want her to be haunted by killing⦠while standing among the bloody bodies of the assassins she and her uncle just finished fightingā¦!
I had no issues with the leadsā respective ages or level of attractiveness. I just didnāt think there was any romantic chemistry there. The actors made great best friends, and were very good at the sort of bickering companions type of thing, I had no issue with that. I just⦠didnāt buy that they were romantically in love. Did they ever even kiss? (I honestly canāt remember.) The MLās pouting and hysterics compared to the FLās seriousness and dedication probably didnāt help my general opinion of the relationship overall, but I just felt like they were buddies and not lovers every time I saw them together.
Can anyone *please* tell me the name / artist of the song that plays at the end of episode 3?? Shazam failed me, Google AI came up empty, and the Cashero playlist on Apple Music doesnāt include anything that sounds even remotely similar. If you recognized it, please help a gal out!
I think thatās kind of the point. Itās a metaphor for being an adult, in which you are forced to make all manner of painful choices between money and family/fun/things you want to do/own/buy, etc. Without knowing anything else about this project, Iām already imagining it as a graphic novel for the YA crowd, and would be surprised to learn that it ISNāT some type of preexisting work popular with teens.
I expected a somewhat grounded medical drama... but it's quite dramatized lol. It's kinda similar to the Japanese…
In some ways, it reminded me of Scrubs, one of my favorite shows ever. itās also the show most often cited by US doctors as being the most accurate depiction of life as a doctor.
100% agree with the cons, more drama doesn't make it better. The whole romance felt out of place rushed like everything…
I donāt know, the three men are meant to be well-known acknowledged musical geniuses. I think itās meant to be a āsupergroupā that attracts attention and fans largely on the strength of their existing reputations, along with that first performance showing that theyāve got something good and worth checking out. Itās not without precedent: consider 60s examples Cream or Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young; The Highwaymen in the 80s; or The Three Tenors in the 90s. Certainly itās harder to sell out an arena these days, but there are a number of things in the show that are a bit old-fashioned (most tv shows seem to continue relying on old tropes and paradigms since they work better onscreen than āoh yay, our music is at the top of the streaming charts!ā or similar).
is anyone else wondering what the deal with the snow man isšlike heās mortal cuz he died but like why is…
He was obviously a person with albinism, which is a genetic mutation - and he probably had another that caused the height. At least that was my assumption once we got a decent look at him. But the rest - why and how he became involved with the child-trafficking, who he received his orders from, whether he chose the children or was told which children to take, who he reported to, etc. - all of that was very unclear, and made his character seem like nothing more than a plot device for the characters to chase at the beginning.
But I canāt imagine the same lack of boundaries would apply when one of the family members has literally rented an entire suite of rooms at a hotel to get away from said other family members!
ā¦created by? picked up by? ruined by?
Apologies if this is common terminology; I only come to the comments/reviews when I have questions (like āwhat the heck just happened?!?ā).
