Sorry, but that conniving wretch didn't suffer half enough for the unecessary damage he caused >.>
He was such a good character, the writer/s did him really bad, I'm telling you. He could've been a character who is good despite being surrounded by evil. They could've ended it by him accepting that the "warmth" that he already had. But, ugh, they just had to ruin everything. They always do second leads really bad, (it's either we pity them too much, or we end up hating the so much)! I am so disappointed!
Banxia was such a strong woman who dares to follow her heart the whole show even though during the first few episodes she's scared to accept the existence of demons, she was not a coward, she just doesn't know what she was facing, and when Xuanye showed her, that's how she learnt to change her perspective. This might be the only female lead in cdramas that I have watched who's emotionally intelligent and who knows exactly what she wants.
Everything was amazing, but at the end is was like "that's it?". They could've done something like a jump in time after 12 years where they meet again or something after being separated like that.
why is this show so boring the leads have no chemistry
I also think that their chemistry is not that good. Esther Yu could be deemed as one of the queens of chemistry in cdramas, but this pair up is just not working for me. It’s same in Sword and Fairy, Xu kai and her also didn’t really click for me. But that doesn’t mean, they are not good actors. Again, this is a matter of personal preference. But, admit it, i was expecting a lot more after their promotions, this is kindof disappointing, the only thing that’s keeping me here is how good they look on camera. ㅠㅠ
Will I sound bad if I say Easter should focus more on Custom drama? I feel that's her niche
Honestly, I think so too. But she did great in Moonlight and A romance of the little forest. I guess this role was just not really for her. I’m still watching this show despite not really enjoying it, trying to give it a chance. But, I really don’t understand her character at all. I’m kindof regretting subscribing to yuoku just to watch this, plus it just got added to netflix, i feel betrayed in every way.
I don’t know why, but I think I’ve been watching too many high quality dramas that this one just seems so cringe. I was expecting a lot after all Esther Yu’s promotion for this drama, but I really can’t. The story is just off, the characters are cute, and some scenes are funny, but I feel like the acting is pushed back because of the harsh filming conditions (I bet it was really cold). Also, the lines are really bland, sometimes cringe (I watch a lot of low budget dramas and this one looked like one, the CGI and the lines …ugh ). I feel bad that I had to say all this, but I really can’t recommend this drama to anyone. I tried to watch it to support Yu shuxin, but I might just play it while doing my assignments, that way I don’t have to waste my time while still supporting her work. I spent money just to watch this ㅠㅠ, I’m a bit disappointed.
Rewatching this and I still cried. However, this movie was such as waste of good acting and good plot. I actually liked all the scenes, but the editing looked like it was done in a couple of minutes, in cheap editing system, with no effort at all. It was too fast paced, and many scenes felt rushed. Ding Yuxi and Ren Min's acting were incredible and top notch, such a waste. This could have been one of the best movies, if the production did a better job with the editing.
I think he didn't join any crew for around 4 months since he finished filming Fight for Love. Only joined just…
He still slayed in all those dramas either way. People can choose how they want to work. I also prefer to do everything and keep myself busy, then after, I'll have a wonderful time resting knowing I did so much work. Really depends on people. Also these opportunities for work do not come that easily, i think he just wants to make the most out of it. As long as he keeps himself healthy, I think it's surely ok, admirable even.
It was like watching a 10 hour theatrical show (releasing all the episodes influenced that impression, coz if it was released weekly, the feeling would have been different, I would've been disappointed of his death rather than be actually sad about it, it allowed me to grab all the emotions all in one go and swallow it as a whole). The scenes were like out of those theatre plays where the setting changes as the plot does, and each of the places they go have meaning especially the cliché journey to find something before dying kind of story. It is so artistically rich, I would say (not that everyone could agree on). I loved it. I cried every single episode.
Whoever is scoring low, definitely didn't even dare to watch the few released episodes. IT'S SOOOO GOOD! So far, what I really loved is the family relationship of the FL. I cried so hard but was comforted by the comedic scenes. Incredible! Plus so many twists and turns and I have no idea what is going to happen next.
FL was indeed too naive. She wished to live on her own, without her parent's consent; didn't prepare much. Then, she realizes she can't stand being alone in a foreign country, which is pretty normal and I understand that. But, even if she has a friend there, didn't she expect that she might have to be by herself most of the time when she left for Japan? She didn't know what she was really up for by going there, did she?
What I loved about this drama was the props. Their clothes were exceptional, their house was sooo beautiful with all the lights and I loved how they filmed with real snow (I always get disappointed when I see snow scenes using fake snow that doesn't really look like snow but like soap foam). Plus, the chemistry between the leads despite their 10 year age gap is just insane. Watching their behind the scenes made my heart flutter coz they're just so cute and even when they went to variety shows for promotion. I've seen all of Ding Yuxi's romance dramas and Deng Anxi is just a perfect match for him in this cdrama (she's soo pretty!) I loved the OST too! I'm listening to them on repeat especially the one Ding Yuxi and Deng Anxi sang together, they're really good singers!
There were just some loopholes in the plot that made it boring and the drama felt stretched at the last few episodes. They could've made the resolution better than just doing a "siding with the enemy" trick, but I also don't know how they could've ended the drama in another way. All in all, i still gave a 10/10, coz this was a cute watch that saved my boring single life and I missed Ding Yuxi so much!
