I am following this drama drama daily, and finished episode 18. It was nice that Youku dropped two episodes yesterday and today. Hopefully we get two episodes tomorrow. They need to keep the momentum going, to keep up the viewership.

I haven't been adding comments because I started the drama late (... one week ago) and the comments started piling up. I read as many comments daily, as possible.

The only comment I am compelled to make is about the men's fashions. I think the costume designer doesn't know how to cut fabrics, to instruct her fabric cutters. The clothes bunch up on the men. I know the villagers are poor and make their own clothes, but the rich men could hire better fashion advisors. My Mom was a seamstress, and I learnt about cutting cloth on the bias and the straight. I think the costumes are on the straight, causing the sags. Perhaps Ms Ji should open a fashion shop.

I love ML Yang's Christmas outfit; green and gold, with gold bling around the neckline and the wrists. When he wears it, I compliment him all the time. He loves bling on his outfits, if anyone noticed. Bai appears to be rich and mysterious, but his outfits are sagging. He has the height. General Niu has an ornate gold armor uniform, but he covers up one shoulder with some fake looking cloth. Dude, flash the gold! Wear a red or a gold cape! You are tall and imposing.

I was going to comment the same thing after I watched the interview. They look relaxed and happy.

I was wondering why the character's face looked faded of greyish sometimes. Thanks for the clarification.

That was his way of saying it wasn't a happy ending. The UFO reference meant Yan vanished at the end.😆😆😆

I check the MDL rating if I want to watch a drama, not the China ratings.

I guess some commenters like to research program ratings. It has no correlation to the site where I watch the drama.

I guess the writers and the viewers are on the same page. The writers are not thinking of romance endings.

It looks like a filler drama production.

I wanted to drop it after five episodes. I am at episode 20, but wondering if I should drop it. The father, grandma, Madame Qiao, her daughter, and another female are annoying. I am watching for the ML.

Lu is an entitled marquis. His scenes are annoying.

Yan's spirit could have appeared at the award presentation. He and Su Mu Zhe could have smiled at each other after she made her speech. I don't recall if she even thanked him for being her best friend. I would have broken down and cried.

You could watch it, and stop before episode 40. I liked about 90% of the plot.

The well was conveniently located for her to fall into it. She did not even break a bone falling into the well.

Yan Zi Jing did not even get a goodbye song.

They even gave him a beautiful 4 minute song of death.

I would have been sobbing uncontrollably if that had happened.

Li Kui was so heavily poisoned by Prince when he was arrested by Zhang Jinran. I figured he was too far gone to reveal the antidote for Yan's poison.

That came to mind immediately when he started coughing.

Did Su Mu Zhe and Cui Shi Jiu plan ahead for Cui to infiltrate the Zheng House to bring down Zheng Shi Yuan? They had an adversarial relationship in public view, but later they were drinking like old buddies after ZY was dead.

They are really trying to build up the momentum. XD Or, they decided to change the ending based on feedback, and needed time to edit the final episodes.
