I do not understand why the writer killed off all of Yan's people and Shrimp. That is so cruel. Loud, Cao, Wei and the other men were faithful to Master Yan for many years. So, the writer was saying that they were fish out of water in the desert, and could not defend themselves against bandits. When they were on the water, I am sure they had come across ruthless pirates and defeated them. This is beyond belief. Yan should have told them what to expect from the Black Bandits. I was stunned when Shrimp died.

I have the same opinion of Cuo Shi Jiu. Is she going to rectify the Pearl farm slavery business after experiencing the sub-human treatment in the Wuling mines?
