The writer decided that Wu Lian should get his POV. We learnt that his childhood was painful, and he hated his parents. He discovered that his wife was not a virgin on his wedding night, and hated his wife, father-in-law and mother-in-law for the deception. Hopefully we will find out his motivation in the next episode.

The husband is very nice looking. He caught on quickly when she was making up her story. I wish we had seen more of the actor in the previous episodes.

Everyone had a POV, including Wu Lian.

Almost everyone in the cast got their own POV and fifteen minutes of fame.

I wonder if Master Wu is not Wu Lian's biological father. He seems to hate the boy.

So episode 25 is Wu Lian's redemption. WTF!

It seems that the Zhangs were rich, and above his class. He thought he was marrying a decent woman, and found out she was not a virgin on the wedding night. He realized he was being played for a fool, and set out on a revenging plan. He might regard the rich parents as manipulators like his own parents. I am sure there will be more of his POV in the upcoming episode.

Ep 19: Wu Lian accepted the matchmaking request with the Zhang family. He thought he was marrying a virgin. He found out on his wedding night. When he and Rong were toasting the Zhangs the following day, they looked happy, but it was all an act. I surmise that he wanted revenge for being used by the Zhangs. His Yanyu pupils are daughters of the rich families. He also admitted daughters of poor families, like Meng Wan. Once he started molesting a few victims, he was on a roll.

I predicted several episodes ago that we would see his POV. LOL

I had the same impressions with Journey to You.

The villain is playing everybody.

Thanks for your essay. By the way, I don’t evaluate, or observe dramas through the eyes of Chinese netizens. I watch dramas for my own personal entertainment. I don’t follow the Chinese entertainment news because almost 99% of it is in a language thst I have zero comprehension. If I like an actor's performance in a drama, I review his or her acting resume, and check out his or her other performances.

When I was watching My Journey to You, I told my friends fhat the second FL would have been a better choice for the main FL role.

The tallest Chinese actress I have seen, is Qiao Xin, in Autumn Ballad. At 5'8, she would be a good choice to act with Vengo Gao.

They need an actress 5'7, since he is very tall... 6'3. With 3" heels, they would be perfect on the height scale. I am 5'2, and I would reach his armpit, probably.🤣

I liked the actress in a tomb drama. She is pretty. They should have dubbed her voice.

I just discovered that Lu Yu Xiao ( A-He) was Shangguan Qian in My Journey to You. I didn't like the character, and dropped the drama. I like her role in Parallel World, so I will pick up Journey to You again. I thought her face looked familiar, but didn't connect the dots.

She was also in My Deepest Dream with Jin Han. She played his sister, Wu Maio.

Time moves faster in the Yumen Pass. LOL

I did not anticipate the plot twist of episode 26....and Zhan losing an arm. LOL

It looks like MDL resorted the castlist, and Jin Han is now a guest role. Dramawiki is totally different.

The episodes were around 30 minutes, excluding credits, from the start. The drama profile has 45 minutes, which is an oversight. The 30 minutes go so fast. It feels like 20 minutes.
