What's with the singing when someone is dying, happy, mad, talking or doing nothing? Mixing dialog and song lyrics is inefficient. I stopped trying to read what the characters were saying, and lost the momentum. It takes away from the dramatics when one is dying. I had no empathy for Shen when he was dying. The music and lyrics did not even match the mood. Without the song, his final words would have been more impactful. Princess Jiao's death was so quick, blink and you will miss it. She should have keeled over on the throne, and died.
The Legend of Zhuohua treks, trials, tribulations, treachery are finally over. The final few episodes were predictable. Emperor Chen deserves an award for his wide range of acting. Princess was a one note actress throughout, but her impassive shell cracked a little in her final hurrah.
