Title Doctor Cha Spoiler
They didn't get married right after she had the baby. I can't remember which episode but it was hinted at that…
Thanks for the explanation. It sounds odd that they married five years after the baby was born. The baby was illegitimate for five years. She said she was a doctor, so they waited until she finished her med school. Did she quit when the second baby was born? Seo said he went to USA fifteen years ago, and met Choi. The baby would be 14. I thought the two girls were close to 19.

They said she was almost 50 in an episode. I think they also mentioned 46 in another episode.

This timeline infers that Jung Min is in his mid 20s. Cha and Seo should be married for 25 years minimum. They should be around 45, if they were 20 years old when Cha got pregnant. I believe Cha is 45 or 46 in the drama.

Medical students have to fulfill four years of medical education on top of either a two-year premedical course or a four-year bachelor’s degree. The quality of medical education is assured by the Korean Institute of Medical Education and Evaluation (KIMEE). After obtaining a license to practice as a doctor, almost all new doctors start further training to be a medical specialist. To apply for the qualification test for medical specialists, a one-year internship and four-year residency in a specialty (three years for family doctors) are required.

Title Doctor Cha
I am curious why they say Cha and Seo were married for twenty years. Is the son, nineteen years' old? Don't the med students attend university or med school for a certain number of years in Korea, and then do their residency in a hospital? JungMin would have graduated from high school at 19. He was in his second year residency at the hospital.

To go from high school to hospital training, the doctor has no med school education.

Admission: All the students entering Seoul Central College of Medicine are required to have at least 3 years* (135 quarter credit or 90 semester credits) of study at accredited colleges or universities.

Jung Min had to complete three years at the accredited college or university before going to med school.

The writer was trying to keep the old values (...obedience and martyrdom) and showcase modern options (...divorce and career for middle-aged women), to appease the Korean audience.

I was thinking that his birth father could be one of the senior doctors or even the billionaire. The writer tends to make close connections with the characters. When the real family showed up, looking like Doom & Gloom, I was not surprised that they were looking for a bone marrow donor. The birth father (...or grandfather?) sounded just like Ms Kwak.

I think Jeong Seok was 46, and Roy might be 35. Probably an eleven years' age gap between them! In three years, Jeong Seok would be close to 50. At 50, she might think she is too old for Roy, and would not want him hanging out until she finished her residency. She would have wanted to put her residency behind her before establishing a new romantic relationship.

Boring final episode! I am glad I did not watch two episodes weekly while it was broadcasting. The 60+ minutes' epsiodes were laborious to watch. It should have been a maximum of twelve episodes. The fillers and stupid dialog should have been deleted from the scripts.

I cannot believe that Dr Kim did not wait for the three years' time jump to end, and then romance Dr Cha. She might think her lifespan is short, but he was a knight in shining armor, and the only one who was looking out for her wellbeing and happiness.

The director should have deleted the filler episodes and just got straight to the point. A lot of dialog seemed inane. Dr Seo's slapstick acting got tedious.

The husband is a slapstick comedy doctor. I can't believe he is the chief of staff of the surgery department.

His role is perfect in his every drama! Man's mesmerizing
His best acting role was Fo Ye in Mystic Nine. That was the first time seeing him in a drama, btw. I watched about four other dramas, and his stylings were not always great.

Btw, I think Ci Sha make-up has a problem. Could it be that he made his make-up artist angried or something?
Makeup is hit or miss in these Asian dramas. I am watching Doctor Cha, and the makeup on the women is whiter than white. It might be the same shade that Ci Sha is wearing in this drama.

I am bingewatching Dr Cha. I am on ep 11. That husband is the lowest lifeform...a slug. The mistress is delusional, too.

True...if they had cut out the cringe, she would be awesome, Grabbing ML's clothing is childish and possessive. One day, she might grab his towel, and faint from the shock of seeing a naked man. LOL I like whenever she puts Senior in her place.
