She's a wallflower...window dressing. I am surprised that Qin Xuan was not attracted to her in the beginning. Toward the end, she perked up, and decided to use her brains, to help her man. She was another annoying character, like Yuan Lang. They would have made a good couple.

I have to deduct points for Qiu Min, Yuan Lang, Eunuch Liu's confession story, the gullible Emperor, the Emperean Virgin Fairy, the dubious overlapping conspiracy theories, Old Madam Liang's death, QY's stupid confession that she killed Old Madam, 2nd Madam's death, and the social distancing ending.

I applauded when Emperor spit out the Anling poison pill, and when he grabbed the teacup with the poison, and drank it.

I was disappointed in that truth and consequence confession moment. Qiu Yan suddenly appeared, and told Old Madam, what she knew. The writer should have kept Old Madam out of the ludicrous conspiracy to delude the Emperor. She was the nicest parent in the drama.

I was thinking that LY looked more like Legolas with the long black hair, when you mentioned Faramir. I forgot that Faramir had red or blond hair, which was short. 🤣🤣🤣 I haven't watched LOTR in over a decade.

When they were young, Qiu Min wanted to be best sisters but Qiu Yan kept rejecting her. Eventually, jealousy developed, as her birth mother started to nuture Qiu Yan. I don't get why that happened...unless Mother remembered her own hardships as a child, and felt sorry for QY, who was treated like the black sheep. Qiu Min was introverted while QY was self-assertive, As usual, the loudest gets the attention.
