I really loved this drama at first. Everything about it was perfect: the soundtracks, the actors, the filming,…
I think that TVN can produce the prequel drama, of Kim Shin, during his warrior days.

yea well im just gonna go sit in that corner over there......... notify me when a week has gone by
Same here! I watched ep 13 at 11PM, and could not sleep for a few hours. It was a big shock. The director and writer were ingenious, coordinating that sword moment with Yoo and Go Eun.

This drama is a commercial exercise. Lots of delaying tactics and lots of repetitions. Could have finished in…
I guess that the PPL fees were a big chunk of the product budget. They got to travel to, and film in Quebec. All the winter coats in this show, and the actor's outfits, might have filled up the wardrobe room.

The end of episode 13 was a masterpiece...as it was full of emotions... Great acting from Kim Go Eun and Gong…
Eun Tak seemed to 'grow up' (mature( in the last two episodes.

A major shock to the system! I was in shock and in tears, during the last scene in Ep 13.

It was the same with me, but Ep 11 pulled me back into the plot. Ep 13 was written like the ending but the story is not done yet, with three more episodes left.

Is the romance between the main leads as good as SoSoo from SHR?? I still can't let go of my otp,and I need…
I read a comment on the online novel translation site, that the story has a happy ending. I hope that 'happy' is our definition of 'happy'. (Smile!). I would hope that the scriptwriter kept that in mind. We'll see it in three weeks.

im really enjoying this show so far.
Your comment is very relevant. Ping Ting has always known that she possesses the most valuable and dangerous military manual. Even though Chu Bei Jei is her childhood friend, she knows of his reputation in battle. She grew up, knowing that she must be wary of everyone she encountered. She sees that He Xia is taking a different path, so she leaves him before she becomes his pawn. Her next stopover is Great Liang. The writer had to create a very complex story, otherwise the drama would be over in twenty episodes.

After reading the novel I am even more interested in this drama and liking it more and more. Yes, there are some…
Some of the martial arts 'high wire' stunts look unrealistic, like the "Tarzan" move. The production team is aiming for a surreal look. I wonder where the vine was attached, for them to swing so far across the valley. And Ping Ting did not flinch, from the high altitude. I would pass out from motion sickness and vertigo, from the vast nothingness under me, although Wallace Chung would make the stunt, worthwhile. (Ha ha!)

Wallace Chung is my favorite actor in the drama. Angelababy is doing okay, but her character, Bai Ping Ting, is annoying me. She kept injuring Chu Bei Jei, and leaving him high and dry. It seems to me that Ping Ting is on a mission to achieve world peace among the warring kingdoms. Now, she is headed to Great Liang. I am curious about her late father, who possessed the military manual. I thought that he might be the lost prince of Bai Lan State (or whatever it is called).

I may keep going until the end of General and I. I watched Princess Weiyoung and Mystic Nine to the very end, even though I became restless midway in the dramas.

I bet this will be a tragedy-.- I'm still reeling over SHR:/ I'll try to endure this drama,it does look…
I stopped being optimistic about a happy ending, after MLSHR and PW.

Ok as expected slight deviations from the novel from what I can see but pretty impressed with the cinematography…
You never know with these dramas. I'll keep an eye out, for the butterflies and fire.

How many times does it air every week?
Great idea! It will be over in under six weeks. I hope that the subbers keep up, and don't lag, by two or three weeks.

Is this drama done airing?
The TV broadcast started January 3. Someone mentioned that they broadcast two episodes daily, Monday to Friday, and one episode on Saturday. We should be done with this drama in five weeks. Hooray!

I know Angelababy has improved but her acting takes a toll on the relationship/chemistry and drama. She isn't…
I am watching all the actors for the first time. Angelababy's acting is similar to IU's acting in MLSHR. The only difference is that Ping Ting is resourceful, an independent thinker and war strategist. With 62 episodes in the drama, I suppose that the characters/actors have to keep their emotions lowkey, early in the game.
On General and I Jan 10, 2017
I am getting vibes of MLSHR and Princess Weiyoung. Bai Ping Ting is playing a ping pong game with Chu Bei Jie and He Xia (aka Princes #8 and #4 in MLSHR), and Chu Bei Jie is the hopeless fool in love (aka Tuoba Jun in PW). Ping Ting acts like a Princess, that she might really be. Her father might be a prince of this Bai Lan State kingdom, since he possessed the military manual. I feel sorry for Chi Bei Jie, sustaining injuries and being dumped many times in only eight episodes. Feng Nong's novel must be extremely long, to produce 62 episodes. So far, I like Wallace Chung's role as Chu Bei Jei.
