Yes... just like some bosses in the workplace! Except they try to fire you.

The actors might have wanted to show their comedy acting skills. Normally, I would drop a silly drama in the first few minutes of episode 1, but I stuck with it, because I am not watching any dramas at the moment. Some of the silly moments are stupid or cringing, but I am not bored yet.

The one who stuck the lettuce wrap into the sycophantic Lt Baek's mouth. That was a cringe moment.

I draw the line with the C-drama and K-drama food sharing customs. The same chopsticks they eat with, they pick up food, and give it to the next person. I am Chinese, and we never learnt that odd custom. We used serving spoons to dish out the food.

Dong Hyun was assigned to kitchen duty with minimal cooking skills and kitchen management skills, so he has been winging it. The soldiers were complaining about the food in the first episode.

Park Jae Yeong, another sycophant, has been taking bribes for the inferior food supplies. I wonder if the big bosses will figure that.

I didn't think of Ye Rin. I was thinking about her and Hwang Seok Ho but he is vapid. (*Meaning: dull and boring, empty and insubstantial, or lacking spirit and character") LOL The new handsome guy is a narcissist and a sycophant. I couldn't match the face on the castlist. I could swear he was in the MDL castlist a day ago.

The Chinese and Korean ladies dressed with style and decorum. These fashions contrast with the garish fashions we saw this year at the American award shows and Met Gala.

I wonder if Dong Hyun meets Kang Seong Jae's sister.. He is trying to find a girlfriend.

The soldiers' eyes bulged out of their sockets when the pretty young woman ran up to Kang Seong Jae, and hugged him tightly.

The Congressman might be the most unexpected comedy actor. I couldn't believe his acting, under the "influence".

I am worried for Dong Hyun, too. He doesn't seem to have an evil streak (LOL), so hopefully, they become best friends. KSJ might teach him how to cook. LOL

I have seen Yoon Kyung Ho/Park Jae Yeong, Jung Woong In/ Baek Chun Ik, Choi Duk Moon/Kang Il Yeong and Ahn Kil Kang/Kim In Tae play serious dramatic characters. Their comedic skills are on point.

I think I remember that, but Ye Rin told Hwang Seok Ho that Kang Seong Jae had cooked the meal for him earlier, and he refused it. I thought it can't be the same plate of food.

They remind me of the "know-it-all" bosses in the workplace, who are clueless.

Me, too! I have to wait ten hours, so I won't see it until tomorrow.

I have a comment about the tonkatsu meal that Kang Seong Jae gave to the N.K. drifter. Kang Seong Jae cooked it earlier in the day for the Commander but it was refused. At the end of the day, he gives a hot steaming plate to the North Korean man. Was the food refrigerated during the day? Battered food does not remain crispy and does not taste the same if you refry it. They made it look like it was hot off the stove.

I have been watching costume C-dramas only for many years. I went off on a tangent and picked up Legend of Kitchen Soldier, thinking it was a K-Reality show. The rate of pace of the plot is so different. Some of the characters are irritating, but I keep watching it. Kang Seong Jae and Yun Dong Hyeon are my most favorite characters. I normally have trouble trouble with a sixty minutes episode, but each LKS episode is compelling.

You watch this show, and you thank the gods you don't have supervisors like Park Ja Yeong and Hwang Seok Ho. They would give you high blood pressure. LOL

Park Jae Yeong is high strung. He is bouncing off the walls. Too much caffeine in his daily diet! That boy can't shut up for a minute. His nemesis, Hwang Seok Ho, is a wind bag, talking in circles. These two men are your typical executive material. All talk and no action!

Thanks. Lee Seo Jin is my second favorite K-actor. First favorite K-actor is Hyun Bin, btw. I added the two dramas to my watchlist.
