Princess Fu Qing and Mr Zhen are now my favorite couple in the drama. They have the same disposition. Emperor will be happy to matchmake them. Is Fu Qing, his daughter?
My finger itches so much to skip all the scenes with the evil princess, I just can't stand her , but I don't want…
I cringe when Daughter and Mother are talking to each other. Daughter has the longest neck, btw. I am surprised that Mother is not related to Aunt Xiao. They look like sisters, and act alike.
They are the cutest, most congenial couple. I knew instantly that they had a fated destiny when they met in the rainstorm. Happily, her mother (?) preapproves of him. I am sure his mother will be happy, too.
ChineseDrama.Info details: It was shot in Chongqing and Jiangjin. Unlike the Japanese and American versions, the Chinese version of Hachiko uses the Tugou aka Chinese native dog instead of an Akita. The booting ceremony was held on March 18, 2021.
Really? I would have thought with her size that she was a Shiba Inu! But then again with the tail...she looks…
Correction: From the ChineseDrama.Info site, the breed is Tugou.

I am learning about the Asian breeds more and more.
the dog's love for the owner is truly amazing in every remake, however for me this remake isnt on par with neither…
I think the casting of the wife and children could have been better. I know Joan Chen, but she was disengaged, as well as the actors playing the son and daughter. Professor Chen actor was fine. Ultimately, the dogs that portrayed Botang, from puppy to adult dog in old age, stole the show. Old Botang made me cry. He was covered in dust, and was emaciated and heartbroken. His heart gave out finally. He was a warrior, from puppy to old dog!
I am crying writing this comment. I watched the movie last night for the first time, and cried when Botang and Professor Chen took the gondola on their final journey to the Rainbow Bridge.
The epilogue is making more emotional than the whole movie 😭😭
Yes! I was anticipating the reunion. The wife and children were not warm toward Batong while he was growing up. If they really cared about the dog, they should have shown him the professor's grave, for closure. The son and wife could have found an apartment that takes dogs in Beijing. The dog was an inconvenience to them before and after Chen's death. At the end, the wife might have been stunned when she saw Batong dead.
No matter which version, I always end up a sobbing mess.
The ending was heartbreaking. I was crying. I knew that Professor Chen would come back for Batong, and take him to Heaven. I found out about the movie last night, and watched the movie. I am sad that Batong was homeless for ten years. The newspaper seller never even took care of the dog all those years. He must have known that Chen had died, and Batong was abandoned, and waiting for his master. It is amazing that Batong survived so long, and got old and was emaciated.
Now that ml is entering the palace life, I realize how boring the first half of the drama was . i see fl family’s…
They could have condensed the Jiang clan plotline into ten episodes. Pei and Qiao ladies were unnecessary characters, as well as many servants. I am surprised that the title wasn't Legend of Si Jin, Song of Si Jin, Ballad of Si Jin. LOL
I watched the movie last night. Hachiko is the name of the Japanese movie and the American movie, but the Dog's name is Batong in the Chinese movie. The lead dog is obviously male. I am guessing that Da Huang was one of the many dogs that portrayed Batong. The end is heart wrenching, but joyful.
For Er Nui's fans, the beautiful dog is credited in Si Jin and Mysterious Lotus Casebook on Dramawiki. The name is Da Huang, and the profession is Actor. Da Huang was one of the dogs playing the lead dog in a C-movie, Hachiko, which is the Chinese version of the Japanese movie, Hachiko, a Dog's Story. I watched the Japanese movie many years ago. I love the profile photo.
