Does anyone know how Lan Zhan recognized Wei Ying in his resurrection? Wei Ying asked Lan Zhan but never got the answer directly. Which episode or story time line did he recognized Wei Ying?
Thanks! Your review made me change my mind about passing it. Glad I read your comments and decided to watch it. I binged and now re-watching it in less than one day after finishing the drama. The lingering emotions from this drama made me want to re-watch some of the scenes. Still, attention grabbing the second time around.
I respect your opinion but I would still like to watch it for myself. Is there a site or you know chinese?
I watched it with no eng sub. My usual site is NewAsianTv.Tv which seems to be joined with TaxiDrama and Dramavery. Of course, please take my comment as bias and you should watch it for yourself. I have read negative comments on other dramas but found I did not agree with them. Hope it's enjoyable for you.
Zhang Jing Yi is over acting with her annoying voice. I had a bookmark at episode 7 at one point and just came back to this drama from the beginning again. Now reaching the end of episode 6, I am recalling the same annoyance with her voice... under the skin shrieking high lazy flappy tongue sound that makes me think how I am going to survive through 24 more episodes. Then if she is not irritating that way, her personality (not possessed) is dull and lacking where ZJY's acting is overcompensating to a point where she lacks. I am still waiting for a trace of humor. This is more or less a note to myself just in case I come across it in the future to warn myself not to waste anymore time with this drama.
The story is interesting but no complexity. The acting is mediocre probably due to directing. The lead actress has a huge herpes sore on her lip which I can't stop looking at. When it comes to scenes of close encounters (kissing) I squirm away at the thought of the infectious contact. This is a distraction, unattractive turnoff.
2nd episode... definitely binge worthy. Cute and funny. Delightful romance and 2nd lead romance. Of course, I am waiting for the antagonist to enter the scene. Oooohh! the deceit just gets better and better. Episode 12: the script is starting to unravel. New characters are introduced without backgrounds. Signs of major flashbacks that does not define the character's thought but just a run of playbacks with no specific contents. The cute romance is starting to die down and now off the binge worthy list but not a drama to be dropped. Episode 15: had to stop, too hard to follow some of the terminology without English sub; but will return to finish after giving this a break.
It all started out nice and interesting. By episode 19, it has lost it's senses. How a spoiled brat can get away with so much scheming and is accepted as part of her craziness is beyond the pleasure of continuing this drama. Whatever the ending, I've lost interest to pursue this drama for the sake of my mental well being. This is too much of a typical canned drama that messes with the audiences' emotion. No thank you; I am more for a pleasurable entertainment.
At episode 42, I am dreading the story coming to an end. It's like enjoying a sweet dessert that is nearing the last bite. Though, there was a section around episode 30 that got on my nerves which I pretty much fast forward on.
7 episodes in, love the "to the point" no nonsense flash forward concept. Definitely the opposite of those every 3 mins flashbacks dramas. So far, love the cute little romance, though it is not the main plot! This drama has a similar theme as Duke of Mount Deer. Binging on this one. Con: Though the annoying flashbacks are lacking, the detestable background music that plays in the foreground, screaming loudly to drown the dialog is disappointingly there.
They should have named this drama "Wu Ba Liang." ???? I was enticed by the cinematography. Beautiful sceneries. Then the story got interesting 10 mins in and I've been chuckling off and on.
Welcome back to the scene, Yu Hao Ming. Kudos to you for overcoming such tragic experience. Don't let stupid remarks get you, they are no better than a dung's fly. You are a handsome and talented actor.
