honestly same. i have shifted to jdramas and cdramas and only been watching old kdramas. they're more fun tbh.…
i've been meaning to check out the last empress but kept forgetting about it so thanks for the reminder! hope you like them, especially what happened in bali, its one of my all time favorites.

AMEN!Oh that's bad news. I was looking forward to watching Han Hyo Joo as a lot of people praised her in The Beauty…
yeah i remember it was like one of the first historical dramas i watched and actually liked. it wasnt really draggy and overly dramatic compared to other historicals (true to this day) in my opinion and the ML wasnt infuriating. tho i remember it being focused more on the FL herself rather than her romance with the ML. FL is really my favorite type, not naive and tripping over herself every single episode but also not one of those overly ruthless "badass" female leads. shes just a perfect blend of independent yet knows how to depend on others and back down at times.

lol when all the HYD/boys over flowers and you're beautiful remakes are on this list.you can add one more to Thailand…
tho as someone who considers reverse harem both her bread and butter, im not particularly fond of both of them except the OG taiwanese Meteor Garden but its hard to deny the role they played in making my favorite genre a hit as everyone and their grandmothers have watched at least one version of these 37213 remakes.

you can add one more to Thailand next year when their version of HYD comes out. i swear they will still be remaking this by the time i have grandchildren.

I love me some reverse harem! So far my favourites are The Romance of Hua Rong, Lovely Swords Girl and Unique…
instantly friended. i feel like its hard to find people who like reverse harem let alone love triangles on MDL. i was watching unique lady recently but dropped it cause i shipped her more with the playboy character. one thing that bugs me about reverse harem is its just love triangle in disguise and its pretty clear who the main three are and who the FL is gonna end up with (the jerk with the golden heart and mommy/daddy issues) so i kinda end up dropping them in the middle.

i love these kind of dramas tbh. theres also so many isekai novels/manhuas/mangas waiting to be adapted. it just…
i actually hated the Korean version of scarlet heart. the chinese version was well done in comparison. agreed china is really good at isekai dramas. tho i mostly stop watching them during the middle cause by then it becomes really predictable. the beginning of isekai dramas are really my fave where we get introduced to the new world and the characters, its more lighthearted while towards the end it just becomes confusing with the writers trying to explain how and why exactly the main character transported/time traveled.

i liked sword art online but kinda dropped it during the middle. dont remember why but it kinda got boring. im watching meiji tokyo renka currently where the MC goes back into meiji era tokyo and im really liking it so far. one thing about most cdramas is sometimes they're really unnecessarily long but amines are just the right amount for me so im enjoying meiji tokyo renka.

Arghhh...another isekai drama...Can we stop with this isekai drama thing?
i love these kind of dramas tbh. theres also so many isekai novels/manhuas/mangas waiting to be adapted. it just depends on execution and whether the actors can bring something new to the genre while also following the cliche format. would take this any day over legal/police dramas or those ones with the male having some sort of stupid phobia while the female cures it. i just cant with how many MLs in dramaworld are afraid of dirt/touching other people/doesnt trust women/doesnt recognize people's faces. you know you're being too unrealistic when time travel dramas/parallel universe dramas seem tame in comparison.

I've only seen Cruel Romance & Another Oh Hæ Young. I don't recall either of them in much detail to agree or…
agreed. i do think that if I was in the situation most of the FL's find themselves in, i would more or less act the same. i mean if a hot guy corners me i would be a mumbling idiotic mess too.

Oooooh CLOY, I haven't heard of it before!! What's it about?
just the premise of crash landing on you was enough to turn me off. like she just paraglides into sk and no one notices??? i gave it a try tho but it was hard to take anything srsly.

Excellent comment. The FL in innocent man also comes to mind. She was supposed to be this baddie who somewhere…
they totally wasted moon chae won in that drama. the fl had great character backing and i was totally expecting her to get reverse revenge on the ml and her stepmother. ig she kinda did in the end but her character actually undeveloped.

I actually thought the female character in W saved the drama through the first half. The gal's acting didn't bother…
for me the acting in w wasnt something great, the ml wasnt at his best either. the writing was the bane of the show's existence and when they screwed up, there wasnt nothing else worth watching. i tried to give coffee prince a try but something about the female lead bothers me a lot which is unusual cause i actually love cheesy gender bender dramas.

she was so good in dong yi tho. i do think shes better than go ara and shin sekyung in terms of acting to me. she is a hit and miss and i loved her most of the time. tbh w was a drama that had a lot of storyline and fantasy elements in it that it didnt really require the actors to be praticularly good to be interesting, the ml wasnt particularly great either.

There were definitely a few with a lot of potential. I loved that sword wielding baddie. However, their character…
agreed. the time period definitely called for a more male centric drama but shin se kyung is a honest no no for me

fact: any character can easily become hateable if she's played by go ara. ara's a sweet person from the variety…
i cannot agree more. i mean no offense but it baffles me time and time again how they still get casted. theres so many good dramas i dropped or didnt watch because they were in it. to be fair, if their acting has improved over the years i wouldn't know since i actively avoid any drama with them in it.

I couldn't agree with you more on Joe Chen's character. Mind you she has a history of playing brainless females.…
i feel like at least with fated to love you, her mumbling naive female lead character worked great since the drama itself was totally wack and nothing serious. Theres also Queen of Sop where I absolutely loved her. the same kind of innocent character doesnt fit for Cruel Romance tho. the story really drew me in and the ml is smoking but her character ruined everything for me. i guess joe chen is a hit and miss depending on the mood of the overall story. she is called the queen of idol dramas so shes in her element in the more lighthearted romcoms.

feeling bored of airing k-dramas.. the only one I look forward to is a daily drama (Gracious Revenge) maybe it's…
honestly same. i have shifted to jdramas and cdramas and only been watching old kdramas. they're more fun tbh. nowadays almost every kdrama is so serious even the light hearted ones need to have a deep message. i feel like its hard to find people who love makjang plots at least on this website so recommending what happened in bali and the princess' man if you havent watched them yet.

About the dubbing, mandarin is a language where the pronunciation is very very important, you can change a word…
victoria is definitely dubbing herself since her voice is really distinct and i can recognize it from listening to fx all these years

I'm enjoying this, the chemistry is good, there's some funny moments, some relatable moments but why does Victoria…
ugh typical "the male lead is perfect but the female lead sucks cause she isnt a badass bitch" complainer. srsly im tempted to write a whole article about this. in most dramas, even tho theres a male and female lead, the female is often the main main character the show focuses on and her growth as a person. its called character development and the whole drama is basically her becoming a better person in both social and personal fields. if she is a perfect, independent woman with no insecurities from the beginning then the drama would be meaningless. the title of the drama is literally "find yourself." i hope u take that into consideration and the fact that theres currently only 14 episodes on netflix of a 41 episode drama.

this is super late but a sad ending does not necessarily equal bad and some of the best movies/dramas are those that end in tragedies. that being said, unless you actually watch the drama and go through the journey yourself, you cant determine the ending is tragic or happy. it just depends on perspective. to me this was one of the best dramas i've watched and had a wonderful story and a fitting ending.
