Yechu’s attraction to THH seems to come out of nowhere to me. He and THH didn’t seem to have a lot of interactions…
To me, since he is shown as a grown up, he's already very close to her and fond of her, so it's natural and pretty much implied. Seems to me from the story, they have interaction a plenty. He grows up in Tushan, he stays for 16 years already. He always sticks to her, it's not something new to him. She is a chief, maintains her authority, and also has few words, but she has a way to explain that makes him understand. He always says he is her sidekick and even Rongrong and Yaya are so used to have him around them.
SSS became a matchmaker, then is that the red thread between her and ao ge ..??Also, in one eps after Xiu yan…
Ah sorry, I didn't read the novel. So I just know what's in the drama. She didn't explain much. You can check out Ep 12 when she first appeared as SSS.
Her character is based around who can influence her the most.Yeah I can see the her love for Lan Feng is sincere…
Seemed to me HS only wanted to use YQ to ensure she got the Heavenly Empress position, as initially she was not powerful enough and she had pressure from her clan to maintain her position.
It was so funny to me that everyone (with all the powerful elder immortals) came/ appeared AFTER the fight was…
Wondering the same especially for Feng Yuan (a demigod). She hardly uses her power at all. Was there any mention in the earlier episodes about what happened to her power that I've missed? I love the cast and story of this drama; I was invested in the characters and purchased wetv express package for the first time. The production and CGI are acceptable and do not interfere much in my enjoyment of the drama. However, the fighting scenes are dissatisfying to me. I do wish they have put more effort in the choreography to make them more enjoyable to watch/beliavable.
Why is everyone hating A Yin for no reason?? They're all hysterical just because, omg, chillHeavenly realm is…
Lol true for heavenly realm. What a disappointment that they are just similar to judgmental mortals that try all means to avoid destiny. AY released the primary suspect of assassination and massacre, and she basically did it in broad daylight.
I stopped after 3 episodes last time when the drama was first out. Yesterday I decided to continue, and completed all episodes in 1 day. I do always love crime and mystery drama, and I like the storytelling of this one - to me it was cleverly arranged as characters involved in Mei Bao's life were introduced. It got me engaged and invested emotionally. Eventually the story progressed and it became quite straightforward as to whodunit, but the efforts to find the evidence were the nightmare! In any case, I am happy they made the ending as is as I couldn't imagine how I'd feel if they were really into reality.
Well since this series is meant to be lighthearted, the ending is proper although farfetched! The wedding customes are really nice. Yup Mu Yan still doesn't have closure yet and now he will need to deal with Chilan... Need the next volume after next.
Not sure why Jiu Er was portrayed to not be able to defend herself at all during the fight scene in Ep 30. She should have at least unsheathed her sword, although it probably didn't mean much at all. It's understandable for WJ, but Jiu Er is an inspector.
I think I mentioned before below, I do hope they show the more witty side of Su JiuEr and less of her silliness…
I like her cuteness and his grumpiness. They both are very childish when they are with each other. And given the way the whole inspection bureau characters are set up in the story, she just fits in with the bunch! I like that she seems to be part of the ordinary, as she should be.
Just a few things that irk me just a wee bit:- The 46 minutes Zheng Yu and Jia Lun have together where in reality…
> 46 mins is not an issue. Oftentimes they disappear midway or at other places. Agree about Dajun, shouldn't have involved him much since the beginning if he is fading eventually. In the original version, Dajun had a lot more role, but he became quite creepy! I honestly am not bothered much with the portrayal of poor guy Mu Shi Ming although I'm curious about his past history with Zhengyu or if their relationship can be explored more. The drama doesn't really say much either about He Zhengyu's past with Wu siblings/Mu Shi Ming.
This happens to be my favourite version among other legends of the condor heroes (excluding the 1983 TVB version as that's the only version I haven't watched).
As I don't want to spend time watching long series, for this drama series I just watched trailers and some episodes, mostly with the romance in it :) and didn't bother to go through the detailed politics part of the drama; just some understanding of the overall conflicts between the royals, the bad consorts', and of the ML's background. Based on the selective scenes that I watched, mostly between FL&ML, FL&Empress, FL/ML&Empress Dowager, ML&Lang Kun, I would say I really enjoyed these relationships. FL's and ML's acting and facial expressions to me felt spot on. And loved the endings too - given all that's happened to them, and how their love endured, the ending was beautiful.
