Also in their past memories, it's clear they both loved each other, so why does Li Rong believe that he was in love with another woman, I don't understand. I have watched upto ep6 only, so maybe it will become clear later.
In episode 6, why Su Rong Qing asks Li Rong if she had considered marrying him if not for power struggles when she made it very clear in first episode only that she liked him & wants to marry him. It was him who declined.
Hi guys! I am new to this page. Have been waiting for Immortality since forever & then found a similar page. Can somebody tell me when this one was filmed?
Just finished watching! I absolutely loved this drama! This was the best suprise gift in c-dramaland for me. Like I have a list of about 100+ historical cdramas, ones I watched, want to watch or am waiting for them to be released. Trust me this drama was not even in that list until it was released. And I literally keep tabs of all upcoming dramas of my favourite actors & actresses. One day after getting bored of rewatching some previous dramas, I was just randomly checking which all dramas are airing & I just stumbled on this one. Starting was already interesting & when Duke Su made appearance in red, looking all mysterious, dark & dashing I knew I am going to like this one & definitely gonna watch till end. I like a lot of ML's in c-dramas but my top favourites for historical dramas are Cheng Yi & Luo Yun Xi. I am now adding Wang Xing Yue to that list. So enough about Duke Su in red stealing my heart, but the plot was the backbone of this show. Actors whether our cunning power couple or villain couple (yeah they will definitely meet in hell again as Wanning wanted), all did fabulous jobs at portraying their characters. We could feel Xue Fangfei's pain of betrayal, Xiao Heng's loss under his calm demeanour, Wanning's pain through her madness and then comes the most complex character of the show, Shen Yurong. From being an honest official working hard to prove himself to world to a diabolical person losing himself bit by bit with his guilt and twisted sense of self-righteousness. The chemistry between Duke Su & Xue Fangfei was sizzling from start, they always complemented each other, no one is damsel in distress here. They both trust each other & respect each other's strengths. uhmm..so there are a lot of things I loved about this show & I should probably make a bullet list of them..hehe. At last, although I am not critic, but there are few things that could have been avoided in my opinion. Deaths of Lu Ji & Wen Ji in last episode were utterly useless. These two people were like brothers for Xiao Heng, they faced so much together, and when it was finally time to take a breathe of relief, they were killed off unnecessarily just for portraying losses of war. And one thing, maybe it's just my opinion but I didn't like Fangfei smiling wide too much while flirting with Duke Su. I can't pinpoint whether it just doesn't suit her face or situation. Sorry if someone didn't like what I said. Some of their interactions where they talk in riddles, but still understand each other, those subtle smiles & eye movements, what a chemistry damn. I have written too much, all in all, I would recommend this drama to every c-drama lover. It's 5:30 a.m. here & my eyes are screaming to sleep now. Good night! (I will be waiting for Duke Su in red with his fan in my dreams..lol)
