It doesn’t mean that just because you don’t care if someone insults your beliefs or makes an entire drama that distorts your religion, I should do the same. Me and my community respect other religions and cultures, and we expect the same level of respect from them.

I’m not excusing lying, it’s bad and always catches up, but honestly, Hao Ming’s completely at fault here.

For those saying “what’s the difference, they both lied” — yeah, both messed up, but there’s a big difference between her lie and his. Xu Yan lied about her past just because she loved him and wanted to be with him. He, on the other hand, used her, flipped everything on her, made her feel like she was the only one lying, and made her think his gifts were just rewards, not love. Even the love he showed was only so she’d play her part and look like a loving wife in front of everyone.

Hao Ming’s good-looking and seems like a solid husband material, but his vibe is a bit scary. He clearly knows all her lies, but he’s just enjoying watching her scramble each time.
