I think you have to look at it through the lens of the time. For her, it’s an honor to serve such a noble family, especially one that treats its servants with respect. She can’t even imagine having any rights against the powerful (which was very much the reality of that era). So beyond the fact that her son has feelings for another man, what truly frightens her is the disgrace that would fall upon the princely family if that relationship were to become known.

Have you been following the r*pe/1ncest case involving the Singha beer family? Tay liked a post defending the alleged r*pist, and the very next day an incriminating audio recording came out. Tay posted an apology, but it was too vague and didn’t say anything about the victim. The fans are upset.

The chocolate was less annoying indeed. My original post was just a single line. I don’t think it warranted this long conversation we’ve ended up having.

I’ll say it again. The problem isn’t the product placement itself, but the way it’s done. These long sequences that completely kill the pacing are what I find annoying. For example, instead of spending 30 seconds entirely focused on a character preparing and eating a bowl of noodles with soft music playing in the background, we could simply see the character eating the noodles while having an interesting conversation.

I don’t watch GMM series anymore partly because of that. I’m watching this one because I loved Love in the Moonlight, but so far I’m pretty disappointed. The problem isn’t one minute of product placement, it’s one minute for two products. And it’s like that in every episode. Right when there’s a major twist and we want some action, everything suddenly has to stop because we absolutely need to watch the main character eat a bowl of instant noodles.

One minute for two product placements, do you think that’s normal? It’s incredibly forced.

The product placements in this series are unbearable. It feels like a GMM show.
