I'm going to add a comment under my comment with what I think will happen in the next episode, with a spoiler…
In my opinion, Pheem didn’t destroy the USB drive where he and his sister are seen abusing the pharmacist and which proves their brother’s involvement in the fentanyl deal. He’s going to expose everything publicly, along with all the illegal actions committed by his family, including himself and his father. The consequences will be that the family empire collapses and his whole family, including him, ends up in prison (or at least in serious legal trouble). But thanks to this, Than will be cleared of the embezzlement accusations and will be able to return to his position in the police. Than will forgive Pheem. They’ll end up together after Pheem has served his prison sentence (or finished dealing with the legal consequences).
This is a massive misperception. There are plenty of people who haven't kissed people or been on a relationship…
I never said "never been in a relationship", I said "never kiss". And I never said that's it's impossible, I said "hard to believe". Anyway, all this change nothing to the fact that the main character of this show is annoying to me.
been a while since i saw this too. but i get what u r saying, just in the food poisoning incident i am pretty…
In one of the following scenes, they explain that the police investigation showed she had been poisoned earlier that day at the café (she even mentions to Shu Nian a coffee she drank that was served by a rude guy). I don’t think she’s adding anything to make Shu Nian look guilty — he’s not a threat to her anyway. She’s convinced that Xie Yan would never dare defy tradition by calling off the wedding.
I came across your review by chance. And yes, I can confirm — the English subs are terrible! To answer your question, if I remember correctly (I haven’t watched this movie in a long time), Alice was Xie Yan’s puppy. Shu Nian always feels like he’s just a substitute for that dog, which really shows how little self-esteem he has and why he keeps letting people walk all over him.
As for the girl who insists on marrying Xie Yan: what she’s actually looking for is to keep her freedom, knowing that refusing to marry is unthinkable (especially in upper-class Chinese families). So, marrying a gay man is an appealing option for her.
Besides, she’s perfectly aware that the love story between Xie Yan and Shu Nian can’t possibly last — Xie Yan is the sole heir of an extremely wealthy Chinese family. So when she goes to see Shu Nian, it’s mostly out of curiosity. She has no idea she was poisoned just a few hours earlier, and when the symptoms start while she’s eating Shu Nian’s shrimp, it’s only natural that she suspects him. It’s just an unfortunate coincidence.
100% agree. I wrote almost the same thing about Memoir of Rathi. GMM is only here for money and fan service. They don't care about plot and good show anymore.
Dub con. Not rape but kinda like implied the one is gonna consent and participate whether they want to or not…
I wouldn’t be so sure that it’s not a rape scene. Sometimes, a person doesn’t have the chance to say no, even if they don’t necessarily want it. Here, it’s rather unclear.

"the one is gonna consent and participate whether they want to or not but in the end it is consent so" if you not have the chose to consent or not, it's SA. Period.
2025 BL Series Checklist:1. Khemjira - 8.82. My Magic Prophecy - 8.73. Reset - 8.74. Perfect 10 Liners - 8.65.…
I think you missed Secret Happened On The Litchi Island (8.1), a very good one! And 8.7 to My Magic Prophety? I dropped it cause I was kind of bored. Should I give it a 2nd chance?
Can someone explain to me why Suriya forces himself into a relationship with Apo when he clearly has no feelings for him? It’s not even because of family pressure, since his own mother is against the relationship.
