us loves just making side characters queer and calling it a day. heartstopper, love victor and young royals were…
I know right! I loved Heartstopper and Young Royals, I had my issues with Love Victor but still enjoyed it and its like they were all totally popular! Make more of those lol. Its so true that LGBT+ roles are usually relegated to sidekick comedic relief BS in the West. It's so irritating in a supposedly liberal society.
Doesn't surprise me, I mean its South Korea after all. Why don't actually gay-friendly countries make BL? Why doesn't the US or European nations make BL series? I mean there's Taiwan but seriously I'm surprised my country, the US, hasn't gotten into this market.
Gay is gay, I don't see how gays could end up with a girl. It wasn't established that they were bisexual or anything.…
Oh I see, I just haven't seen those so that would explain my lack of first hand experience, so to speak lol!
A messy triangle haha! The classic trope of "everyone likes the wrong person" haha! I love love-triangles at first but I always end up feeling bad for the odd person out (unless they are a total jerk lol!). So it's like a mixed bag for me. Hmmm I do like BL that has a focus on character development and non-romantic related plot development - but since I initially come for the romance its definitely the most important thing (to me) in BL.
Sorry to you too for the late reply lol! Yeah and so it was! I really liked Alan, a flawed character but one that kept me interested. First and Mix had good chemistry too, ended up kinda ghost-shipping them for a future BL haha!
Since he and First area apparently paired for life now, it will probably be Alan, although there's not enough…
Sorry for the late reply :/ Yeah I figured they would go that route too. Personally, I don't like permanent ships. That does not mean I don't like seeing the same guys pair up again, certainly if they have good chemistry and their dynamic/characters are different enough the second time around I'm all for that if I'm a fan of both actors. But there are some ships that I LOVE one of the actors and the other... well... I don't LMAO! So I would rather see the guy I like get paired with someone else I like too. Oh and I'm a total First fan too haha! I like Khaotung though - just that First is one of my favs!
you will understand why, and bro his backstory is actually so sad (idk much i just know that he is blamed for…
I don't think they were necessarily trying to justify or excuse his bad actions but humanize the character. Certain bad events in a person's life can send them down the wrong path and those who take the time to understand them may have a chance to lead them towards a better road.
I swear some people just don't read the tags and description. It made it pretty obvious what this show was going…
Tae Hyun was certainly okay at the end with a bow, a bow and arrow :P lol sorry bad joke. He wouldn't have been okay if Da Yeol's hand slipped! This is why I hardly if ever watch trailers and instead just watch the show as it airs cuz yeah sometimes trailers can be deceptive or worse SPOIL something I'd rather see in the show as it happens. I like this series so far because it ISN'T super fluffy which gets over-done and I'm kinda sick of rom-coms.
I... like it so far. Not used to seeing Korean BL that isn't super fluffy so I was surprised. Don't get me wrong, I love fluff here and there but sometimes I like a darker/dramatic BL. Some people don't like the bully/bullied pairing trope (I personally hate the jock/nerd pairing trope haha) so it may not be everyone's taste but I like it so far. I hated the few bullies I had back in high school but there was one of them I was totally crushing on at that time (he later turned out to be a kewl guy), so I get the appeal. Tae Hyun is an interesting character, I think the teasing is kinda charming (I'm weird lol) but not helping Da Yeol out in the infirmary to explain that he wasn't trying to SA him was really low. But sometimes we're SUPPOSED to dislike a character at first, then development and redemption arcs if done right get us to come around. I love a good redemption arc!
the ending is so bad that I think 8.0 is fair enough
Because they built up the main couple so much and then put the main character I liked least with someone I don't care about at all who wasn't even present for most the series. Tofu is best boy/bear, he deserved better.
So much happened, it's not even worth it. You can scroll down this comment section, u will see most of it. After…
Didn't Poi sexually harass a 17 YEAR OLD BOY! She's disgusting. And no I'm not a "build stan" or whatever. He said some things that are pretty messed up.
Sorry, I need more than 5 minute staring contests and hand holding lol :P *Oh wow my comment was 4 years old lol. I personally do not like the fake boyfriend trope, there are MANY tropes in BL I don't like and many I do.
You are exactly right. But don't expect the little kiddies here who eat up this crud because it is fluffy and…
I have noticed this, GMMTV has some GREAT actors but they under-utilize some, overuse others, keep the same guys together forever where I get sick of seeing it haha! And they wonder why fans think some of these guys are dating IRL and get made when they find out, its just fanservice lol smh. I do like happy endings, but I like drama and struggle throughout the series. I think the acting is best and the stakes the highest when its a serious drama done right. Serious dramas tend to have more engaging plots too. Overly bubbly BL that gives me sugar-rush is not for me personally. Others like it and that's kewl, I just wish GMMTV did more serious BL drama too, they are really rare but I tend to like those the most.
MSP wasn't a perfect series, in my view, but I still think it was excellent. I'd give it a 9 out of 10. Regarding…
Personally, I find it kinda boring. But I don't think its an objectively bad series or anything like that. The main actors have great chemistry and act their hearts out. If people are allowed to say why they LIKE the series, people should be allowed to say why they DON'T. But I think you are probably referring to the angry or insulting comments rather than "this is what I personally didn't like and why" kind of comments, at least I hope lol! Because that's the purpose of the comments, to give our opinions.
*Oh and I am watching the whole series, I haven't seen the last episode because I'm watching it with my boyfriend, he seems to like it. :P
