I just don't personally find people that young attractive and for me to enjoy a romance (this is just me) I must find both people in the romance attractive to me (just because I don't find someone attractive obviously doesn't mean they aren't). Is that superficial? Yeah, its also human. I have yet to meet a single person that isn't superficial about something, especially when it comes to inconsequential things like personal entertainment. Sure there's my own ethics about the whole thing but really, what it comes down to is not being my thing. I just simply don't like age-gaps especially involving particularly young actors, just doesn't appeal to me. I have made exceptions, but this one I just don't feel comfortable with.

Well in my country, we have a right to speak and only fascists try to silence opposition. Everyone has the right to an opinion, favorable or unfavorable and for whatever superficial or fundamental reason they wish. Then again, saying people should keep their opinions to themselves is ALSO an opinion you're entitled to, we just don't have to follow it.

Bullying is when you target an individual directly and a consistently.

Its not a crime to accuse someone of a crime unless there is malicious intent (meaning the person knows what they are saying is 100% incorrect which is very hard to prove, that's why in the US defamation and libel suits almost always fail.

Well the people who use woke as an insult tend to be conservatives and I despise conservativism.

I highly doubt Fuaiz and Bas are gonna last, I certainly hope not. But they aren't the main couple and the one dude is 18. 16 and 18 is a MAJOR difference where I come from, like legally. Still I don't like the age gap when in involves a young person, but thankfully at least Jay is 23. 5 year gap with both being adults isn't a big deal and they are likely end game anyways because Thailand has this whole shipping culture where two particular actors must only ever be together again, and again, and again. Jeff and Barcode was weird, but they weren't explicit at least. I've heard this couple will be, maybe that's not true but who knows at this point. I just don't like the writing I see written on the wall.

True, I agree. If people like this that's fine, I don't so far but that's just me. It's the people that get all super offended that some people like myself are weirded out by a minor and adult in a romantic role together that set me off. Not necessarily the person I was talking with above, more about the other comments I've seen.

Its not like I'm calling the actor an ephebophile, its the vibe and age gap I don't like that's ephebophilic. I just think the 16yo is too young, usually these roles are played by guys in their 20's, not actual teens. It's also an asinine casting choice obviously done cynically to cause buzz. And before you or someone else says it, YES I thought Barcode and Jeff was weird. Minors shouldn't be cast as actors expected to do explicit scenes, its unsettling and it makes me question those who would fall on a sword to defend it. I know its fiction, but that doesn't matter when it comes to emotions. People get pissed about fiction all the time, its normal.
