Title We Are All Trying Here Spoiler
Just wanted to put out my thoughts on the Ending.

I feel like people are being a bit harsh on the ending. It's true that it would have benefited from a longer run (maybe a couple of episodes or even 16 episode run) but I don't think that they left everything hanging.

Dongman and Eun-Ah, you can clearly see that they are still together since the movie was shot after a year and the awards are at the end of that year. By Dongman thanking Eun-Ah at the awards for being with him it's a dead give away that they are still together. Regarding the intimate moments, I mean yes they didn't kiss or anything but I don't think the drama needed that (not saying it would have been bad if they did but their relationship wasn't something that would be defined by that kiss, they already have a deeper connection than most couples)

About Jin-Man and Yong-Sil it seems like they connected someway as Dongman made his speech for both of them.

Gyong-se and Hye-Jin I feel like the writer was clear that the Divorce won't go through since Gyong-Se said he will become 3rd place instead. I think he meant rather than falling for another person and being first sacaficing his relationship with hye-jin he would rather become 3rd and be with her.

Eun-Ah's success, eventhough it was not explicitly shown like Dongman's I feel like her character was wrapped nicely. The reversing the nose-bleed scene showed us how she is being able to deal with her abandonment and her Mother's words. She telling Mi-Ran that she is her Step Sister (kinda) and their embrace and also hearing that her mother thinks that she is impressive also healed her a bit I believe. Overall we all know how skilled she is and with her resolving her trauma she is bound to sucess and has probably achieved it by the end of the show.

As for the annoying characters Ma Jae-Young probably will succeed with Knock Knock Knock but will probably not find success afterwards. The show tells us how all the good parts were from Eun-Ah. CEO Choi will still be as thriving and as shameless. The scene where he was saying how he knew dongman will be successful just shows us that he never changes. Hyo Jin will be her self probably. I mean don't think there was anything to be resolved with her to be honest. The conversation Eun-Ah and Dongman had about her just about sums her up.

All in all even though it could have been longer and wrapped it up with more scenes that affirm our conclusions, I still think they ended things nicely and subtly resolved most conflicts.

I don't think this was his premeditated plan to get her to go back, it was a combo of him wanting her to go back…
I see. I didn't look at it from that point of view. So he was also venting a bit about the guilt he has been feeling and I guess the love he feels for her was all mixed with the guilt he feels about the situation at the same time so I guess opening his mouth when he isn't in a good space would result in some harsh words confusing one for the other.

I still think that it was intended to hurt her though and force her to run away. Eric insinuated that he was the only one holding her back and without him she would be back at HIT so he was trying to make her go back and the only way he could do so (or so he thought) was by making her hate him.

Anyways excited to see how it develops in the future episodes and hope they give us more insight into Mechuri's back story so that we can understand him a bit more.

i wonder if na jin knows that ye jin might have promoted that cream, but it was mechoori who actually produced…
She does and she is mad at ML (well she was when she moved here but I think his kindness won her over and she eventually fell for him). You see her say that she can never forgive him at the hospital and it's because she knows.

Nah, let’s be real. This plot did not need 16 episodes. I’d rather watch a well paced 12 episode drama than…
That's exactly how I feel.... I hate the feeling when you are too tired (and probably spam the skip 10s button) to even continue a show you loved because the writers refuse to let it end and drag it on and on and on.

the actual problem in these dramas [rom/com] , that used to be 16 ep but now days became 12 ep is = .... the beginning…
I have to disagree with that to be honest. I have see far too many KDrama that try to overstay their welcome and add irrelevant sub-plots, random serial killer deaths and so on to reach that 16 episode mark and ruin the show in the process. 12 hours is more than long enough to complete a romcom, or melodrama, it's just that the writers still feel compelled to check of everything from the KDrama Cliche checklist and then some more rather than letting the story flow with the runtime they have.

I agree though that the writers seem to have a hard time adjusting to the 12 episode format but I don't thinck it's the fault of the run time but the writers themselves. (We can take "We are all tring here" as an example of a 12 episode drama that feels perfectly paced and effectively utilizing the run time - hoping that it doesn't prove me wrong lol)

Honestly enjoyed the Episode, well except for the ending but I knew when he couldn't confess in the beginning it would end up like this and they will have a fall out in some way. I was honestly hoping that they will have an adult conversation about it and it would go in the way of both of them letting it all out and helping each other overcome their guilt.

I get that the ML wants to give her a reason to go back to work but it feels so weird the way he went about doing that. I mean talking to her and telling her that it wasn't her fault and explaining what happened would have helped her alleviate her guilt and in time go back to HIT, I don't get how hurting her and possibly reset all the work they did after coming to the country side would be beneficial for her. It's just weird and I know it come with KDrama, it's rare to see our characters actually talk things out and not overreact.

Still I'm enjoying the show and excited for what's to come. Glad the fall out happened now though rather than on episode 11 or something this actually gives time for better pacing of the ending episodes (I hope). I came from a show that randomly decided to break the couple apart on the episode from last and speed run the last episode lol.

And that scientist is ml 😂
I forgot about that... yes it might not be all his fault but given his personality he probably feels like he could have done something to prevent it. Same with Dam Ye Jin, the whole thing doesn't fall on her but she blames her self still.

And that scientist is ml 😂
You can see it on how the ML is guilty when he sees the Kid with the mask and how her Older Sister (the 2FL) was blaming him on todays episode flash backs. The incident he has flash backs on an why he moved to the farm to carefully harvest the raw materials... his insomnia case and stuff are probably tied to the incident from a few years ago

Hoping for that as well. But might not go like we expected. The Drama has mostly tried to be realistic about the world views and how even those scripts the ones in the community believe are good don't perform well because of budget, not having enough A List actors/actresses so it might end up as a cult classic rather than a hit (probably performing worse than Knock Knock Knock that Choi film is producing - as it already has the best actor working on it and a huge budget).

When you think about it it might the results of Dongman's film might be just like this show. If you look at it from ratings and viewership perspective it's not doing as well as the other shows currently airing. The ones who watch it feel like it's the best show airing - or even best show of the year/decade and so on...but most people are looking past it. That might be the fate of Dongman's movie.

I hope I am 100% wrong though and it becomes a hit.

Person Mun Ka Young
so after true beauty how did she end up having flops ?
I would say that Interest of Love is her best work to be honest. I was surprised by it's rating but it's one of the best dramas I have seen.

I don't usually leave comments or reviews for that matter for Dramas but wanted to put this here incase anyone had doubts on whether or not to watch it. I have read some comments about people finding it boring but that wasn't the case for me I couldn't wait to finish it all and unlike some other dramas I didn't feel like skipping any scenes. Yes the show is slow paced and if that's not your style then I don't recommend it. But for me the pacing was great and you see the characters slowly develop and unveil their thoughts and experiences bit by bit. The romance both from the main leads and the supporting leads made a lot of sense and felt realistic in my opinion.

All in all it was a great show with a great cast, story and especially soundtrack. This has to be one of my favorite drama soundtracks of all time where just listening to the soundtrack takes you to the scenes of the drama and recreates the emotion you felt upon watching it.

spoil me one reason, why this drama got rating below 7?
It's not all roses and happy happy I guess. It's one of the best drama I have ever watched and one I think I will never forget but it's not an easy watch since it's not all roses.
