your opinion. I have seen all versions except for the thai version, yet still after 20 plus years, i think this is the best version. Despite low budget, and it being as old as it is, it still manages to steal more hearts than the newer versions.

original means what came first, when we talk about the first TV series, it was the Taiwanese. Japanese came second.

its the best version to me..... the depth of emotion created by the leads, specially Jerry Yan, damn... i couldn't see in any other adaptation. And those passionate kisses! No other version had such passion, only pecks. Korean version good. I loved the OST. Koreans are damn good at music.

oh man, just finished this drama.... Can't believe I suffered through this. Good luck to you all! and I can't understand why anyone would want to see this more than once.... hell I even skipped, can't stand FL. The only good thing was Kim Hyun Joong looks. And the parents were cute. Ok I think I'll just rewatch Boys over flowers, at least Jan Di had a life of her own and hobbies and goals of her own.

I think that's the issue here, FL was too indecisive, she had 2 hot looking guys chasing after her and she had hard time deciding. Seriously, if I were in that situation, I'd be in trouble too. I think she was drawn to SML as he was much more similar to her, with more working class poor background and she wanted to be with him. But towards the end, it seems she started falling more for ML... the issue is also she didn't realise her own feelings until she was in Bali in the arms of SML. tragic, yes. I'm now watching Fashion King, written by same writer. Very similar- entangled foursome. There is an abrupt death here too at the end, but not 3 deaths lol..... I'm still on episode 6 though.
