After the 1000 years of delays, and the whole GMMTV's recent botched efforts, I had little expectations for this show...and then of course I had to check it out because of the main characters' visuals.

YES. THIS IS GOOD. I'M EXCITED NOW.

sometimes you just can't salvage the unsalvagable.
They may have better luck at straight drama.

When you wrote this it was probably at 8.2 or 8.3? Now it's at 8.0. That's pretty shocking, really.
Is it though. The show missed too many chances by the end. And people aren't stupid.

I knew that this was going to end up being a major disappointment, hence why I didn't even bother to watch it…
I'm inclined to agree but solely for the productions from GMMTV.
Also I think the Philippines is quickly catching up. They've had hell of a first + second quarter in 2020

It's really annoying how people chose to ignore how the ending was foreshadowed then they hate on the final 2…
True though. The ending was SO foreshadowed but people refused to see it all this time up until the very end.
And then they get mad.
I was dumbfounded lol

I mean what else did you expect? happily ever after with confettis? they were willing to kill off their top billed character without so much as a blink of an eye...

They really queerbaited BL fans into watching the whole thing huh.. If anyone wanna watch for that reason alone…
the way the story was resolved was very single ounce of fan-servicing. that kiss lol.
but if you're still angry at this point then you realized this show was a queer-bait too late. i accepted it long ago and i was fine with the ending.

The score dropped ... That was fast.

It's simple: I'm disappointed. Not because the show ended up being a "straight" drama instead of a "BL" one as…
Did you come to that realization only after the last episode. Because it was painfully blatantly obviously evident since around half way point that this was going to be queer bait.
Did you not catch any signs at all until episode 12??

It's not really a tragedy, it's more of a cautionary tale.
That, and the writers having no idea what they were going for most of the time. If this were an American show, it would probably not be renewed for another season.
But personally I'm okay with the ending. At least it dared to be different, regardless of the result.

This is why when you see the first sign of red flags you stop being invested. It's what I did, and I enjoyed the ending because of that. If anything, it made me less angry and a lot sympathetic/indifferent.

Yes this is one of those rare GMMTV shows that hv a sad ending. A bit dissapointed after such a fun and entertaining…
They foreshadowed this as early as episode 7. don't be disappointed, just enjoy the journey.

you should finish it. even if it's not what you want, the story is still very well executed

LONG BUT RATIONAL POST AHEAD :):

It dropped from 8.2 to 8.0, and NOW people are FINALLY complaining.
Y'all shouldn't be.
Not after all this time. Not after all of the foreshadows.

Look. I have not been shy about my dislike about this show since about mid-way through (scroll down, I'm not kidding, you'll see my numerous angry rants), and I sort of expected the rating will drop by the end. Even Youtubers stopped reacting to the last few episodes because the inevitable ending was becoming too obvious (yet judging by the sudden drop in ratings I guess most people DIDN'T realize that until the very end).

But you know what? And honestly, hear me out. Once you detach yourself from investing much emotions and just focus on the twist and turns, you'll find yourself enjoying this story so much more. I appreciate the effort from the writers to make this one different enough that it remained controversial throughout its run. And I would never have imagined this show would end with a funeral when I checked out that first trailer many months ago.
So, now that it's ended and it's behind me, I don't think I hate it as much as thought I would.
I know loyal fans will be mad with this ending, but I'm glad I removed myself emotionally before things became unsalvagable. It made the last couple of episodes a positive rather than a negative experience. So kudos to that.
At least it was entertaining.

on to the next one!

The trailer sure looks like it's doing its best to compensate for the original series, so I guess we shall see ~
