I have not read the novel either. It is enough to watch the series with a little bit more attention to see that. Just listen to their private conversations and see how they behave when they are tête-à-tête. They are never intimate.

So far these episodes HAVE BEEN AMAZING!I LOVE BL dramas with more of a plot then the romance, so with an additional…
She is not cheating on Tol. That guys is her bf or ex or whatever. He is the one she talked to on the phone to whom she told "we agreed to take a break". It has not been established so far but from the way Mai and Tol behave when they are together it is quite clear this relationship is just a facade. They both just pretend.

And this show now ventures into the Robin Cook territory. Dr Sak seems to have a special business of selling organs to wealthy patients - just like in Cook's Coma - as it seems. I am still not quite how this is organized inside the walls of that hospital - it was confirmed Rit had his surgery there, and not in that special clinic - beacuse to get away with stuff like this he needs too many accomplices, like the entire operating theatre for a start. But we will see how the story unfolds. It is clear that the stories of Tol, Rit, Mai, Sak are all related in a way. My hunch is that Rit's kidney was taken away to be given to Mai's mom.

As for the time loop, it is obvious that Tin has to go back earlier and earlier in time and learn about the stories to get out of this whirlpool. He always tries to solve the problems technically and by mechanical, external intervention. That is what he has done so far with Tol, and that is what he is likely to do with Rit when he tries to prevent him from committing suicide (preview of episode 5).

Tin clearly has to get to know these guys better and acknowlegde how they reached to the point they run into their death. And he needs to change the narrative around them so they never get there.

It is a thoroughly intriguing journey.

Review Country Boy 2
I suggest you to go back and rewatch Country Boy 1, in particular to the swing scene, and if you still think it is more bromance than BL, I have not much more to say.

I expected an outcry when Mon chose So over Saint but wow. Saint had literally years to act on his feelings, but…
But apart from that, I have Utsukushi Kare and ITSAY/IPYTM déjá vu, where irrespective of whether some people symapthized with a main character's choice or not, they deciced he should be with the other one they chose for him, regardless of his own feelings.

They do not realize you cannot decide rationally who you fall in love with, and they do not realize either it is exactly the same stituation when you love Y, yet your mom comes and tells you should date Z instead, because Z is so nice to you, has such a good upbringing, stable carreer, acceptable social background and anyway she just knows better who is good for you.

THE END. But look like we will have 2nd seasons for sure.
How does it look like and what makes you think for sure? Not that I would not like if you were right.

Ok, they got together. And what a sweet scene.

But I still want follow-up/second season.

There's a lot more to tell about their story.

Extremely cliché-ridden but on the whole quite wholesome and cute. The psycho girl and her companion are hard to bear though.

I have just realized now I understand Amber's claustrophobia when they were stuck in the storage room with Ah Le, after I have seen how he had been locked up in the toilet.

I have been living in the UK as a foreigner for a decade, and I can tell you it is a very accepting and receptive country. I have never encountered any incidents ever since I have been here. There are racists and xenophobes, of course, just like everywhere, but it is a happily multicultural society in general.

Am I the only one thinking Mai is probably not Tol's girlfirend, but someone else for him, despite holding hands and common pictures on Facebook? They behave oddly next to each other, they do not seem to be intimate. And there is a mysterious guy behind the story who has some sort of connection to Mai.

"Because deep in my heart I know that if I'd meet the two of you, I'd be reluctant to leave".

I hope he refers to returning to his parents and it is not foreshadowing something like terminal illness.

This ending is not sad at all. Not the way we expected, but definitely uplifting.

Western BL fans are generally clueless and baffled when Asian dramas use symbolism. They can only handle simple…
I have formed my opinion long ago and I stand by it. I am a western viewer too btw. Huge respect for the exceptions, but that is what I see here every time a complex, symbolic story starts airing where hidden meanings, character developments, motivations should be figured out and analyzed by the audience. I does not even have to be fantasy series. 8 out of 10 fail to understand the narrative.
