And if that is the case it is a considerable alteration from the webtoon which I have not read, but as far as I know this back story of Lee Won is not included there, in the original he is a cold-blooded CEO with no past trauma involved.

Even without the ending scene it is a wildly improbable assumption the chairman had him killed. Furthermore we saw the son appearing at the school the day after the teacher left.

His father did not want to expel him. Lee Hyeon Jae wanted to be expelled and the reason he finally was not that he turned out to be innocent in the drug dealing case.

Fair enough but if that is the case it should have been elaborated more clearly that this is what we face here, with more past references, in particular to what happened to the mother. I feel this part was slackly handled.

If this show has a major flaw is that his cruelty remains vague and unexplained.

Whether Han Gi U (let alone me whom you involve into this story unnecessarily and in a very demagogic way) had jobseeking problems have nothing to do with this situation. If keeping a job was all Han Gi U cared about we would not have reached this outcome. That is it.

Furthermore, Lee Hyeon Jae's father is powerful but not the lord of the world, and he has much less power out of his own empire, The fact a parent could go against him and he could not cover up the issue is a fair evidence of that.

Not that it is any of your business, but I was not born yesterday and I have experienced hardship and long periods of jobseeking more than once in my lifetime, so you can back up with this arrogant and condescending tone as if I was a kid you teach about life out there.
Furthermore what you are talking about here is totally irrelevant. Han Gi U is not a desperate person who gives up all his principles to get any job possible and I brought up counselling because that is what Han Gi U chose as a profession at the end of the day in this show and for that particular field having such experiences are perfect motivation even for job interviews. You can be vocal about your experiences as a teacher without being an investigative journalist.

My biggest problem is the chairman too. The whole abuse remained vague and so was the situation of Lee Hyeon Jae's mother.

I think you mixed up the names here.

Leaving a report behind like that and making it cause would not have necessarily resulted anything like that, even is Sout Korea, especially since he decided to leave teaching and do counselling instead. On the contrary, it would have been a perfect motivation for counselling job, based on what he experienced. Just because the education system is corrupted in SK it does not mean it has to stay like that forever and no one should challenget it, especially for someone who just starts his real life now, as does Han Gi U.

Neither shortsighted nor purely emotional. Being passionate about certain principles and staying calm on the surface are not mutually exclusive.
When I said leaving with a bomb I did not mean making a scene but making sure he would be vocal about what happened in that institute and in the future he won't just stand by. He could also submit a report about what he experienced and this could have been a very satisfying and important symbolic act to make the staff feel ashamed at least even if it would not have brought any change. And it would not have harmed anyone.

At the beginning probably, but an important part of Han Gi U's character development was stopping to be a coward who stays silent. So at the end of the road imho his passive resignation seemed more like out of character. And he had a reason, what annoyed him most was teachers who are supposed to care for students turning blind eye to everything.

I might be too idealistic but I wished Han Gi U leaving that horrible school with a bomb and standing up to himself more.

Also the abuse and blackmail from Lee Hyeon Jae's father, the situaution of Lee Hyeon Jae's mother and his odd relation with that guard could have been fleshed out more.

There are too many loose ends.

It used to show the Taiwanese time but now it shows the time of the users's device, at least in the web browser version. And until yesterday evening it showed 19 October (UK time in my case) and then it switched to 20 October while episode 1 was still shown as available in the main page selection.
