You just need to forget existence of a logic and this drama becomes amazing 😂 I'm here for funny and wild ride…
I agree but some logic is necessary to make the twists compelling. When every twist is lazy by using AI as an excuse or plastic surgery, it's becomes a chore. They are still at it in ep 1...by using those stupid masks to explain away the change in appearance.
Weird plot. So many contrived moments between ML and FL. I get they are shipping them together, but why would FL randomly do most of the things she does when the ML sets it up is just jarring - e.g. the Busan train ride for a movie.
No it's not. As a person who's watched many dramas, and binged Penthouse S1-S3 back-to-back, this show did not leave any profound impact. The script, the excessively long episode length, the characters were all lacking
As a fan of Penthouse, I am deeply disappointed with the script of this one. The twists are extremely contrived and I often found myself being dumbfounded by how anyone could write something so absurd. Penthouse is known for it's over-the-top acting and plot twists, but at least it kept viewers coming back for more (most of the time), I literally had to force myself to watch S1 and skipped through most episodes.
The overuse of clone masks, deepfake videos, and AI really took away the impact of the twists as well. I get what the writers were going for here with AI...but it took away so much in terms of impact.The reveal of K was so absurd, I had to pause and think about how this is even a good twist - after some thought I do admit the writers left clues in the prior episodes hinting at it, but again, it was heavily missing the impact compared to Penthouse reveals.
I also wish they had used new actors instead of bringing back so many from penthouse as it is hard to disassociate them from their prior roles. The characters have no likeability whatsoever. In Penthouse, they often made us feel pity or sympathy to even the worst ones, but here, they are all shallow and devoid of any rational thought.
Honestly, the best way to watch this drama is to be high or drunk. If you are person who uses rational thinking to justify action, this drama will leave you feeling like you lost a few brain cells.
